A demonstration of Steiner-Parker Synthacon VCF clone (Curetronic Steiner VCF) put in a custom made system 100m module enclosure. I named it “m-128″.
All sounds in this demo (including drum and percussion sounds) were programmed on system 100m.
For the “self propelled” sound example in the second part of this video an additional LFO was trans-patched from Korg MS-20 to Sys-100m.

Musikmesse: Radikal Accelerator Polysynth with 3D Sensor in it (shake sensitive)
As said. The Accelerator Synth from the Maker of the Spectralis. It has a 3D Sensor in it that can register how the Accelerator is moved, so you can wildly play gigs, shake it and get some modulation, 3 OSC, Polyphonic, close to Spectralis synth engine but still different. More to come. Looks nice, somewhere between a Q, TI2 and the Plugiator (the knobs are Q’ish), has some more things..

Der Tiny hat einen Wavefolder, der ist da. Frei patchbar, Justierbar mit Fine-Regler. erlaubt ein blenden von ansteig saw über tri zu abfallenden saw oder andere Dinge. 6te ist als audio-cv out/oder etwas anderes mit vca verbunden und hat einen monoausgang der aber auch den ring mit signal belegt. so hat man auch mit einem sterekopfhörer alle 2 kanäle da. eine cv-source hat er auch noch sie wird mit dem sustain env1 geregelt.die 5 aux buchsen sind stereo und über splittkabel aktiv es kann ja ring und tip seperat gepatched werden. Preis wird 1600€ sein.

Er kann mit einem Tune-Trimmer über +/- eine Oktave gestimmt und über den CV-Eingang via Sequenzer oder Keyboard gespielt werden. Der Ausgang ist intern mit dem Y-Eingang des Ringmodulators verbunden. Der Ringmodulator, der im Gegensatz zum KRAFTZWERG-Ringmodulator analog aufgebaut ist, kann auch für zwei externe Signale separat verwendet werden.Das 12 dB State Variable Multimodefilter verfügt über die Betriebsarten Tief-, Band- und Hochpass sowie Notch (Bandsperre). Die Resonanz lässt sich bis zur Eigenschwingung regeln. Die Cutoff-Frequenz und die Resonanz können über die CV-Eingänge moduliert werden. Außerdem kann über Key Follow eine Tonhöhen-abhängige Öffnung des Filters erfolgen, diese Funktion ist intern mit der der Key-CV bzw. der MIDI-Tonhöhe verbunden.Die Hüllkurve besitzt fünf Stufen: Attack, Hold, Decay, Sustain und Release. Neben der normalen Betriebsart, kann die Hüllkurve über die ersten drei Phasen geloopt werden, solange ein Gate-Signal anliegt. Danach klingt die Hüllkurve über Release ab. In dieser Sektion ist auch ein einfacher VCA untergebracht, der als CV-steuerbarer Audioausgang des MEGAZWERG fungiert. Das Hüllkurvensignal ist intern mit dem CV-Eingang des VCA verbunden.Das 12 Bit Digital Delay erzeugt nicht nur einfache Echoeffekte, sondern kann über einen Regler oder CV-Steuerung die Auslesegeschwindigkeit in einem Bereich von ca. zwei Oktaven verändern. Außerdem gibt es eine Freeze-Funktion, mit der das Effektsignal eingefroren und endlos wiedergegeben werden kann. Über Send und Return kann ein weiteres Modul, etwa ein Filter oder ein Ringmodulator, in den Feedbackweg eingeschliffen werden.Der Modulations-Sequenzer ist für einfache, rhythmische Modulationen gedacht und kann ein einstellbares Muster von zwei, drei oder vier Steps erzeugen. Jeder Step verfügt über einen eigenen Regler der den CV-Wert bestimmt. Das Tempo kann am Sequenzer selbst eingestellt oder via Clock-Eingang vorgegeben werden.Die Dual Glide-Sektion bietet zwei unabhängige Verzögerungseinheiten mit unterschiedlichen Kennlinien. Hiermit können z.B. die Steps des Modulations-Sequenzer geglättet oder ein Portamento erzeugt werden.Die beiden Abschwächer der Dual Attenuator-Sektion erlauben nicht nur eine Pegelbegrenzung von Audio- und Steuersignalen, sondern fungieren auch als CV-Quellen. Ist der Eingang nicht gepatcht, wird am Ausgang eine CV-Spannung von bis zu 8 V ausgegeben. Damit kann z.B. die maximale Geschwindigkeit der KRAFTZWERG-LFOs erhöht oder die Pulsbreite der VCOs auf einem bestimmten Wert hin konstant verändert werden.Der Mixer besitzt drei Eingänge, wobei nur die Eingänge 1 und 2 geregelt werden können.Mit den beiden Multiples lassen sich CV- und Audiosignale verdoppeln bzw. verdreifachen. Nützlich wenn z.B. ein LFO zwei oder drei Ziele gleichzeitig modulieren soll.Der Signalweg VCO-VCF-VCA sowie die Hüllkurvensteuerung des VCAs sind intern vorverkabelt, so dass der MEGAZWERG direkt gespielt werden kann. Alle weiteren Verbindungen werden über die Patchbuchsen hergestellt und können sowohl vom MEGAZWERG selbst als auch von externen Geräten aus genutzt bzw. angesteuert werden.Der MEGAZWERG hat die Maße 310 x 165 x 38/72 mm. EMS Synthi being built: 40 pcs – EMS Synthi A + VCS3 werden gebaut

After many long delays we are now expecting to re-
start production of the Synthi A and VCS3 at the end of this month.
We only have enough of the original Synthi A cases for 40 units, and when these
are all used-up we intend to redesign this product. Inevitably it will change
into something a bit different, but we have every intention of continuing with a
similar portable instrument.
In contrast the wooden cabinets for the VCS3 can still be made and we currently
have 30 ready for use in production. So we are hoping to continue to make this
available in its original form for several more years.
Please note that although we are not currently offering any keyboards for sale
(KS or DK2), we are hoping to make the mechanical keyboard DK2 available again
shortly after we have restarted Synthi production. We will also be trying to re-
introduce a variant of the KS touch-keyboard sequencer in due course. As yet no
price is available for either.
Many would-be customers have been waiting for several years for production to
restart, and we have been operating a waiting list system. The waiting list for
the Synthi A is already over-subscribed by double the number of available cases.
But people are still joining in the hope that enough of the long-term waiters
will have dropped out when we re-establish contact with them. Deposits for
Synthi As are now only accepted on the understanding that there is an
increasingly slim chance that one of the last original Synthi As will be
available to purchase. The separate waiting list for VCS3s remains open.
At the moment we are quoting a notional lead-time of 18 months for Synthi As and
VCS3s, although once we start delivering completed units we should be able to be
a bit more specific. Prices are 3000.00 GBP for the Synthi A and 3200.00 for the
VCS3 (excluding VAT – if you live in the EEC).
If you want to join the waiting list we just need a deposit in the form of a
personal cheque (NOT a bank draft), made out to EMS and mailed to the above
address, for the equivalent of 150.00 GB pounds (USD or euros accepted). We will
NOT attempt to bank or cash deposit cheques and at any time you can request its
return, for example if you managed to find a used Synthi on ebay or elsewhere.
To keep track of progress you are always welcome to email for an update.
The Synthis we are making are to the original Mk2 design using the original
components. Various modifications may be also added – a list is available on
request.

Kawai K5000 Dual – Organ Version (Mod)
Didn’t know there was a funny K5000 mod sold, which is basically a doble K5000 with the S-Version Controls and the W-Version added. Ad you might know, the K5000 is the most advanced addivive hardware synth made (beside the acxel / axcel 2). It’s not a mod, it’s a real product.
UPDATE: This is a mod, no official version!! so this thing has never been sold officially by Kawai atc. But the Yamaha one did:

I still ask: Why not this form factor for polyphonic synths with “some” voices (2-4)? Tetra KB? Anyway I assume this will be cool for a lot of us europeans, we love such synths incl. myself. thanks for doing this. price: around $800, guess that will be almost the same amount in euros? we’ll see. Noticed the little side info about the boomchick / Linndrum II? I put it like this: They planned it, had no chance in getting a real product but willing to finally get “anything” somewhere out later for us. so just give’em some time. we do! thanks for making these synths.

it based on one oscillator (with nopise and sub), two filters, lfo and two envelopes.
- for people, who prefer another outfit, we want to offer nice wooden panels for some models.
- a midi/cv/gate keyboard (3 or even 4 octaves) should host modules and more.
- the old string and multi synthesizer with full polyphonic principle and ensemble circuit are famous for their charismatic sound, meanwhile they are pricey sold at ebay.
MFB are thinking about a own charismatic model combining vintage sound and modular concept.
- last but not least we imagine a compact vocoder (fixed filterbank) ;)

There is a Spectralis Editor – did you know?
Here, the guy does not only show the development for it, he controls the fixed filter bank with lemur that emulates a sort of spring (multi coupled mod points joined like a spring/band) – this is possible since the Lemur can have “no friction”, so if once moved a slider can oscillate like an LFO (just one band) or the whole spring. nevertheless – the spectralis has automation, so you do not “NEED” this, but you might find it useful for performance.

Rozzbox / LL electronics give(s) up / Das Ende der Rozzbox
Kilian Leonhardt just told us in the forum he will focus on studying and no more sell synths. it’s not yet finally decided how and what will happen later, but for now there will be no Oddulator or Rozzbox anymore. sad, but true.
Kilian Leonhardt, LL Electronics Gründer und Macher der Rozzbox und des Oddulators gab bekannt, dass es vorerst keine Rozzboxen oder Oddulatoren-Synthesizer zu kaufen geben wird. Das gab er im Forum gerade bekannt. Wenn sein Studium fertig ist, könnte sich das ändern, aber die weiteren Schritte sind noch nicht festgelegt. Schade, war einfach ne sympathische Maschine/Mensch.
