So, nun ist OS X 10.10 Yosemite bereit und funktioniert zuverlässig. Dazu sind Macs heute doch mehrfach anzufinden, besonders bei Musikern. Mit Yosemite und alten Macs empfehle ich allerdings die Grafikkarte zu checken, die unter OS X 10.10 deutlich mehr beansprucht wird. Die alte GeForce 120 im 2009er Mac Pro ist die unterste erlaubte Kante, aber macht nicht wirklich Spaß, weshalb ich hier eine Radeon HD5850 (die beste/schnellste) oder eine HD5770 empfehlen würde. Beide liegen bei gut 150€ – wer mehr will, gibt erheblich mehr Geld aus und kann nicht…

MOTU has just announced the new Thunderbolt Interface Line 1248, 8M and 16A. Including a 16ch Interface (I really enjoy and see more 16ch analog input interfaces coming and hope for 24in/8out interfaces from Motu and RME – still for USB3 and TB).. here we go – looks like the 16A is my favorite one since it is still a more rare fact to get 16 or more analog inputs – I will buy one when the first 24ins come since I am still on MP with no TB interface. but having…

New Macs coming, they excluded all non.mac content in the announcement, so there’s something new to expect. new OS 10.7? Small Macbook Air? Well, as you know PC was always a bit cooler in a way. same here. and Wavelab 7 is also for Windows, I think, wasn’t it? Ah, I believe it’s Syncrosoft protected, maybe this could be dangerous for Peak? I’m still running Peak 4 on Snow Leopard, Wavelabs wants SL, too. Chapter 7, nice hint ;)
