ABOUT Akais cheapo version of the S3000 series feat. a weak 12dB filter the 2000, 2800 and 3000 series added a modmatrix with 2 LFOs (like the S2000) and ENVs at 32 (64 voices on S2800/3000), the later top models S5000 and S6000 added even more voices (128) but also some OS problems.. unfortunately the S1000 became standard (for no reason) for a long time of the 90ies.. much later: pure playback for entry level of it's time: S2000 which also had 2 ENVS and LFO but no matrix. reads S1000 as well.
ABOUT Akais "Billigversion" der 3000er - Sampler-Serie (aus meiner Sicht), der S2000 hatte nur einen üblen 12dB/oct filter, S2800/S3000er Serie brachten immerhin LFOs und ENVs und eine Modmatrix (so wie der S2000). Das S1000 Format wurde leider lange Standard in den 90ern. der viel spätere S2000 ist ein Einsteigermodell, mit 32MB max, auch er ein reines Playback-Tool, auch er hat die kompeltte Struktur der S3000er, aber ein kleines Display. liest natürlich auch S1000 Format.

DETAILS lots of ram configurations 8MB to 32MB, S2000: 32voices, S1000/S1100: 16. it had the same structure as the 3000 series (2 ENVs and LFO with matrix), capable of 8 layers.
DETAILS unterschiedlichste ausbaustufen bezgl. ram von 8MB bis 32MB, S2000: 32 stimmen, S1000/S1100: 16 stimmen. der S2000 ähnelt der 3000er serie, hat also 2 ENVs und LFO und eine form der modmatrix, aber ein kleines Display und Bedienung per MESA-Software. 8fach-layertauglich.

THE MANUFACTURER
Kaum einer kenn nicht die berühmte S-Serie Sampler des chinesischen Herstellers mit weissem Rack-Gehäuse, sie waren der Verkaufsschlager der 80er und in wirklich jedem Studio zu finden, wirklich innovativ waren sie aber eher mit der MPC und einigen Synthesizern (AX und VX Serie und speziell dem VX600), jedoch hatten sie beim Verkauf der Synthesizer nicht so viel Erfolg. Gegründed von Masukichi Akai.
