ABOUT one of the first affordable samplers beside the akai S612 but with 8bit, so it is not a hi-end sampler, it has analog filters so it has a lot in common with the ESQ1 / SQ80, Skinny Puppy used it on Remisson/Bites.. "the world's a hell ..."
ABOUT einer der ersten bezahlbaren sampler damals, heute eher ein lofi teil mit 8bit und analogen Filtern, daher hat er viel gemein mit dem ESQ1 / SQ80, nur das dessen Klänge eben eigene Samples sind. Skinny Puppy haben es auch Remisson/Bites.. "the world's a hell ..." damit gemacht..

DETAILS well, this is a lofi machine seen from todays view, no multi mode but multisampling, a bit "muffled" for it's 8 bit sound, but "cool muffled".. analogue filters: 8 CEM3328 VCF
DETAILS ok, das teil ist alt. es hat wenig speicher und hat eigentlich einen muffigen klang, aber der ist eben COOL muffig, weil 8bit und natürlich sind mit den 128KB auch nicht megaorgien denkbar, komplexe hüllkurven, schon damals, es gibt keinen multimode, aber multisampling.. analogfilter: 8 CEM3328 VCF

Bought by Emu (Emu owned by Creative Labs), originally founded in early 80ies, also were into soundchips (SID!) and then started to go into the sampler and synth business. they offered one of the first affordable samplers (mirage) and innovative synthesizers. Was the only manufacturer of polyphonic pressure keyboards.

THE MANUFACTURER
Von Emu aufgekauft und Erfinder des polyphonen Aftertouch (Pressure), leider verkauft Emu weder Synthesizer noch diese Keyboards. Ensoniq war einer recht innovative Firma mit Wurzel bei Soundchips (SID!) und stellten einen der ersten bezahlbaren Sampler her (Mirage) und hybride Synthesizer etc. Das qualitativ gute Paris Recording System wurde leider eingestampft wie alles andere auch.
