Edit Arturia Brutes & Moog Theremini – MIDIbrute / ThereMidi

Situation:

MIDIbrute

Imagine you got an Arturia synth – Microbrute or Minibrute and you need to set something like the MIDI-Channel, the Sequencer Tempo Divider or the Note Priority – you couldn’t do that on stage since you need the computer editor, but this time it is an app on your phone or iPad that can do excatly the same.  see above how it looks like on both iOs devices! I really need to set the LFO retrig sometimes so this comes in handy.

Situation 2:
you want to edit the Moog Theremini. -> ThereMIDI – Kai Aras

Here’s the editor in full for iOS.. it looks like this:

1) the first one is for editing the antenna stuff and the scaling
2) the second one is a sequencer editor!
3) the 3rd is the synth part– it allows to set the

– osc type, which wavetable you are using and on the right side you
– Animoog 1-3, Etherwave, Supersaw, Sine or Triangle
find the modulation for this wavetable –
– scanning the wave (sort of Envelope that runs through it)
– modulating pitch, volume and pitch
– setting the speed of progress within the wavetable and depth

  • scale of correction of the tones – so to say the quantizer of the OSC/antenna

next is filter and filter type (4 types) and classics – cut, res, keytrack

there is presets, scale again and a delay with feedback

antenna sensitivities and stuff (vol, filter, resonance)

so it is sort of a simple synth but a lot more than any Theremin elsewhere – so makes sense to to that via the App just prior to each song or load another preset.

„There’s still some clicking going on, a lot les, but not gone. Also the pattern gap is still there. It is shorter but still there. Someone in the Facebook group has done some tests, pattern change gap is around 35ms in 1.10. Which is less than 1.03 and a lot less than 1.0 but it is still there.“ (Source: Korg Forums)

Das Dumme: Korg-Mitarbeiter und Preset-Programmierer Mistabishi a.k.a.
