Korg Radias discontinued? what’s next?

Looks like most of the shops don’t have new ones anymore just selling those in stock. (FORUM: Wann betritt Korg wieder den Markt der Analogen Synths im Forum enthält diese Aussage in deutsch) so maybe a start into a more boring workstation rompler era for cheap without aftertouch vs. some nice little gadget but microstation as a nice synth.. I really wonder if they will have a „main synth product“ in the classic 1k segment that really deserves to be a SYNTHESIZER. also feeling a bit bad about the electribes may disappear…

Update: This will be a full blown R3 Engine with full USB editable Sounds.. Korg launches 10 new products, so they say. one of them: a new microkorg. Korg themselves still have no new info up, but well possibly today.. The name is R3 via Gearjunkies It’s much of a Radias, has the same Vocoder with Audio Recording and Structure of the Radias. means it has 3 ENVs, 2 LFOs, FX, Vocoder 16 Bands, 2 Filters. 2 OSCs a la Korg Radias. In fact it is a Radias but with reduced sequencing.. same idea as MS2000 / Microkorg.. see the displays above the LED…

it’s official now, Korg Radias ready to buy now! the reason ist that the mechanism, that held the synth was changed.. (someone in the us squeezed his fingers, so..) here’s how it looks like today.. es ist seit jetzt offiziell: Den Radias gibts jetzt zu kaufen. der grund war die halterung/klappmechanismus, an dem sich irgendein amerikaner die finger geklemmt hat, es wurde umgebaut. the „old“ one looked like this:

well, the radias is delayed because of the mechanism to put the panel up. in the usa you can even pull them all to court , even if you are the silly one like drinking hot coffee is impossible because you can still go to court for too hot coffee (thats something for the ouch-award!!) – so maybe the radias comes back in 2 versions: one for the usa with soft mechanics and the rest of the world, but 100€ cheaper ;) I don’t know if I should cry or…
