Well if I seriously believed they would ever be in production again I would be doing commercial work with them....
chip manufacturere are not interested in making any less than 10k chips, at least.. and this stuff is so old now that not everyone has even kept the fabrication lines going for the older analog processes... curtis (or rather OnChip as it is now) make specialised communications/modem chips, you can imagine how much they care about synth people compared to the telco giants with $5,000,000 orders.....
Having said this, if anyone can get them back in production, well I'll be a very happy man. But only an idiot would design a commercial product with CEM chips at the moment.... DIY, great, yes, and the MOTM will be a great synth....
