I'm emailing all the people who commented in our HR-16 thread about some
new things we have in the works:

The custom sample ROM creation software is available for FREE
non-comercial download. You can create your own sample roms for the HR-16,
using any sample files. mp3, wav, etc. Import samples, save the ROM files,
and then burn them to EPROM chips using an EPROM programmer. (If you don't
have a programmer, EPROM burning service will be available, just ask.)

We will be selling ROM expansion boards that will support 2 sets of
internal sample roms, plus an external ROM cartridge, for a total of 3
different sample sets. Building plans and pcb patterns will be available
for the DIYers.

If you'd like to be notified when custom ROMs and expansion boards are
available, please let me know. And if you're not interested in any of
this, i can remove your email from the list.

Mist, dieses Kit kommt mir 18 Jahre zu spät! Denn vor 18 Jahren habe ich meine HR16 verkauft. Das Teil habe ich wirklich gemocht, im MIDI & 19"-Wahn habe ich mir dann ein Alesis D4 gekauft und musste schmerzlich feststellen, das a) midi bedingt nichts mehr so tight wie vorher war b) die Sounds nurnoch ±3 Halbtöne pitchbar waren.

Jetzt sind die HRs fast alle ziemlich runtergerockt, sonst würde ich mir das überlegen...

Nicht schlecht. Wäre ja glatt n Argument, sich wieder eine zuzulegen. Schade, daß man brennen muß und kein Flash genommen wurde.
