I also was wondering....
the usb input could be used for Midi input from another device with usb.midi only???
What would happen if the Daisy is fed both midi from the usb and the standard Midi port???
Would it try to merge them or deactivate one of the two???

BC I have the new Ornament&Crime 4.1 which has some nice midi out from the usb socket...
I was thinking maybe I could connect a cable between the two units....

The "Safe" way would be to bridge the O_c Usb_Midi to a TRS-Midi and then use tyhe standard Jeannie Midi input---
O-C works also with reverse USb-Midi, so if Jeannie would send some Usb-Midi, O-C could translate it into CV signals for use into
other applet like additional quantizers, arp, seq, etc..

Can't remember any such info about Midi out from Jeannie usb... only says use it for firmware upgrades...
MAYBE I COULD RUN Some experiment there also... I don't recall Jeannie system if have an option to output usb-midi in parallel
to the normal DIN Midi port...

Any info welcome :) That would come useful in case of a Eurorack-compatible panel... with an added switch to choose to disable out midi physically or midi in to not incur in system errors...

PS: It worked with the 12V!!! Thank you!!!! It's now firm in place!!!!

Hello, the Jeannie should only be used with a DIN MIDI cable. The reason for this is that digital interference and noise can be transmitted to the audio output via USB MIDI. It used to work with USB MIDI, but for the reasons described, only the firmware should be updated via USB, and the USB port should then be disabled.
