A general answer to the most frequent questions asked lately:

1: There will be only a limited number made, most likely no more than 10 complete synths. The number of currently available (obsolete) parts is just about sufficient for that.
2: As the work is still in progress, a final price is not yet determined. However, I don't think Doepfer will have to worry about a dangerous competitor.
3: There might be a few more modules added in this format, to enrich existing systems. Possible choices, still to be decided about: Dual LFO, Ring Modulator, Noise, a MultiMode filter (based on the SEM design), an Arp-type sequencer and a MIDI interface.

mal anders gefragt: was ist das besondere am Klang und Aufbau der EMU Modular?

Emu hatte meines wissens nach schon relativ früh digitale bauteile verbaut und natürlich das pre-patch, bei dem man über patchkabel auf der rückseite ein preset patch erstellen kann.

Speziell am Emu Modular sind die nackten Alu Frontpanels, auf die man mit Bleistift dann eigene Markierungen (i.e. hier ist ein cooler Sound) malen konnte.

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, so hat der Ersteller der Seiten noch eine andere Page, wo er Module nachgebaut hat, ich finde den Link gerade nicht.
Ist das die Quelle?
