Tangerine Dream 1980 - Palast der Republik

Schaut mal, was ich eben im Keller in der alten Kassettenkiste gefunden habe:



War damals jemand dabei und kann davon berichten?

Ich werde mich jetzt erstmal auf die Suche nach einem Abspielgerät für Kassetten machen, damit ich das gute Stück auch genießen kann.

Die hat nur 16,10 Mark (wie alles LP`s) gekostet!

Als MC, auch nicht schlecht.
Da sieht das Cover nicht ganz so bekloppt aus, wie auf der LP.
Hier ist übrigens genau die gleiche Musik rauf:

Das war das zweite Konzert an dem Tag von TD im Palast der Republik.
Das davor geisterte als Vinylbootleg "Staatsgrenze West" herum.

Hab ich auch, ist eine sehr gute Liveaufnahme... Leide rwar ich noch Quark im Schaufenster und deswegen ncith dabei... aber ich glaub es waren eh 3/4 geladene Gäste...

Die erste Hälfte ist Live und der Rest dann eine Studioproduktion. Die Aufnahmen sind so also nie live gespielt worden. Aber dennoch
eine meiner Lieblings-Platten von TD mit ellenlangen Improvisationen und einem exzellenten Analogsound, dem man sich einfach
nicht überhören kann.

An album recording of highlights of these concerts, titled Quichotte, was released that year on the East German label Amiga only. It consists of two long tracks of partly improvised music. Themes from the album Tangram can be heard throughout the album, as the concert took place during the process of preparing material for that studio album. Edgar Froese and Chris Franke had remixed and edited the music in East Berlin as part of the original deal. Six years later it was made available to the rest of the world by Virgin as Pergamon.

The original, untouched evening concert (taken from a radio broadcast) has been fan-released as Tangerine Tree Volume 17: East Berlin 1980 and is considerably different from the official album release.

Jap, die LP hab ich auch ... War sozusagen mein Einstieg in Nicht-Techno-Synthesizer-Musik (bin ja auch eher "jung" - so mit nichtmal30) ... Hör die heute nach wie vor sehr gerne. Supermeditativ ohne Fahrstuhl.
