Sound-art where a spanish based hardware/software development company. They formed in 2001 and launched the Chameleon at Frankfurt Musikmesse in 2002. The Chameleon is a DSP based platform capable of hosting different applications, or skins. These range from reverbs and delays to vocoders and fully fledged virtual analogue synthesisers.

A second Chameleon was in development in 2006 with additional features, like faster CPUs, graphic display, etc but Sound-art closed their doors in late 2006 due to lack of sales.
