The number of notes that play at one time is the number of Voices. One Voice is a monophonic Synthesizer, more than one is polyphonic. Different sounding Voices at the same time is multitimbral meaning it plays different sounds out of one synthesizer.
Die Anzahl der Stimmen in einem Synthesizer, die er gleichzeitig spielen kann. Es gibt einstimmige Synthesizer (monophon) und mehrstimmige (mehr als 1 Stimme), das ist dann polyphon. Können mehrere verschiedene Stimmen erklingen nennt man das multitimbral (mehrere Timbres / Viele Stimmen)
