Der mephisto wird NICHT gebaut werden.. aber vermona arbeiten sicher an einem anderen polysynth..! unklar wann und wo.. aber mephisto ist definitiv gekippt & gecancelled!

Vermona MEPHISTO: Klangerzeugung ist vollanalog, 3 diskret "IC-frei" aufgebaute Sägezahn-Oszillatoren sorgen für fetten Klang. Für den verstimmungsfreien Betriebgibt es DSPs im Mephisto, sie geben eine Sinusschwingung aus, die zu einem Impuls geformt wird, und dieser wiederum synchronisiert das Rücksetzen des vom VCO generierten Sägezahns.
Filtersektion: besteht aus zwei unabhängigen 24dB-Multimodefiltern wie im DAF1 Filtermodul von Vermona, die in verschiedenen Varianten miteinander verknüpft werden können (info/test/audio höre/siehe DAF1 site..). 2 frei zuweisbare ADSR- und eine Start/Attack/Decay-ENV, zwei LFOs und 3 Steuereingänge sorgen für die Modulation. Es gibt einen Rauschgenerator mit Rosa und Weißem Rauschen, Ringmodulator, OSC-Sync, FM und mehr...
Naja und die geplanten Motorknöpfe.. evlt auch ohne.. malsehn.. info gibts bei HDB elektronik und vermona.de (greets an Lutz!!)

the "little sister" is a 2 VCO synth by vermona ,too
(and not the official name ;-) its M.A.R.S: Monophonic Analog Rack Synthesizer)
its a monophnoc 2 OSCs/2 Suboscs (per osc) synth with ringmod, 2 CCs for Cutoff and LFO Speed (great huh!!?)..
the LFO can go up to 100hz.. maybe it will be more (!!) and its shape will be variable..
its ENV will be 1ms to 1min (2 ENVs ADSR)
Filter is a 24dB LPF (DAF1-type..)
the LFOs shape can be formed tri->saw-saw up-sine-rect... with tunable symmetry..
noise and ringmod
separate glide per OSC.
all CCable!!

so what you get is 2 OSCs plus 4 SUBoscs.. why? and how?
you
can use the saw,12.5% pulse, rectangular (50% duty cycle) at 4',8' or 16', if you want you CAN add another OSC one octave below and another one below that (all rectangular)
so thats why it is 2 SubOSCs per VCO!

at least this can sound like having 3+3=6 OSCs!!
the LFOs and ENVs will be quite fast: 1ms! shortest on the ENVs, also the LFOs will go far up into the sonic audio area..
and every VCO can have its own Glissando (!!!)
The Envelopes can be triggered by an LFO and Resonance is also Modable..
Higher Resolution for Cutoff and LFO Speed (255 steps!!)
It will have Sync and Ringmod and see the LFOspeed as some sort of FM because it will be posiible to go up to 200Hz..maybe more.. wait a little moment..

another thing/nochwas: when you set one OSC to glide, the other one to normal and SYNC both OSCs then you hear this (listen to the sound when the note range are closer / far way.. the more you jump up the keyboard the more the sync comes in!!) LISTEN

hier eine besonderheit des MARS: man kann einen VCO auf glide stellen, den anderen ganz normal ohne glide, wenn er dann OSCillator-Synchronisation eingeschaltet hat klingt das so..hören

the Resonance Parameter will get HIGHER resolution.. thats why it will delay a little while.. buuut: there will be a (lotsa-knobs-)PROGRAMMER with knobs available as bundle or seperately.. here is its layout
the machine will again be a bit re-thought (so some parameters may chance to its advantage!).. 1 or 2 weeks and I will upload the first mp3's ;)
DER RESONANZ-parameter wird entgegen den ankündigungen doch höher aufgelöst sein! daher wird sich das hardwarezeug etwas verzögern (1-2 wochen..) danach gibts auch mp3s HIER.. ausserdem wird es einen KNOPFREICHEN PROGRAMMER geben dazu im Bundle (ca.200.-DM) oder einzeln (dann aber teuerer da die produktion sehr teuer ist..)

how does it sound? / wie klingt er??:
well have a look at my DAF1 review.. there are some mp3s..(its a german review but listen to the audiofiles!!) why? its the same filter!! and its unique.. its not moog, roland or so.. its vermona! ;) (not a bad thing!!).. !!
WIE KLINGEN DIE FILTER?? nunja.. nicht nach moog, arp, oberheim.. es ist ein eigener klang.. .. ich hab ein paar mp3 gemacht vom daf1, das ist nämlich der filter des m.a.r.s !!.. mp3s
