DETAILS The "false" mini has 3 VCOs, the 3rd often works as LFO (LO setting) for modulation (moog modulars do not distinguish LFOs and VCOs), so it also works as FM source. btw: All OSCs have a LO setting. fast envelopes. Creamware did a very close clone - it's based on the pulsar platform later the noah contained it, too but it did not sell well because of its terrible interface (4 knobs in a rack seemed not to be sexy enough..). well, it's still a digital synth here.. but it has a lot of things that reminds of the mini.. it's 12 voice (now!) polyphonic and adds velocity and of course midi-controller controlled.. they also offer this kind of clone as prophet 5.. called Pro12.. THE MANUFACTURER
Creamware aus Siegburg wurde von Frank Hund gegründet und ging 2 mal in Insolvenz, trotz guter Produkte, man hatte sogar ein Radioteleskop in der Eifel und plante eine Art Realizer. Etwas unglückliche Produktpolitik oder Management schien sie etwas klein zu halten, Inzwischen sind sie bei Soniccore gelandet. Frank Hund ist nun nicht mehr dabei und bleibt bei seiner Firma inDSP, die in der zweiten Reinkartnation alles lieferte, evtl. sogar die Quelle der Probleme und des mangelnden Marktverstandes, heute auf bestem Wege?
