ABOUT the Little Phatty as a Rack/Desktop kind of version with USB (midi) and CV control of pitch, filter and VCA. welcome to 2010, Moog.
the last Synthesizer made by Moog (some people say bob has had his fingers on it) is a 2 OSCed little Synth that reminds a bit of the moog source. it has 4 enless controls to set one of the parameters below. just hit the parameter button and now the knob shows the position and can be changed.
New from the " Stage Edition" on and of course with the new Software (update via the shops): S/H + Noise functions (Filter + VCO, Tuning Funktion, Autotune, since Winter NAMM 07)

DETAILS the 50 Hz (thats what I think it is after listening to it) LFO and 2 VCOs with waveform modulation are not bad. the PWM can be achieved by mod of waveform like on the voyager.

the moog is controlled by 4 rotary knobs with LEDs around it that show the actual position of the selected parameter.. so it is basically like a moog source but it is a bit faster to use .. the waves also influde to "sweep" through the waveforms.. fm via modwheel like on the minimoog is possible.
since OS 2.0 Little Phatty features an Arpeggiator.
All Phatty Moogs can be "chained" together via MIDI and played as one polyphonic synth

DETAILS Der kleine Moog bietet die üblichen Wellenformen und Fußlagen, die Wellenformen können jedoch moduliert werden, so ist PWM möglich.. Der LFO ist schätzungsweise 50 Hz scchnell.
Es gibt ein paar Modulationsmöglichkeiten, jedoch eher Standard. Dazu Sync. Das Design ist sehr ansprechend. Die Steuerung erfolgt über 4 Endlosregler mit LED-Kranz als Anzeige.

MOOG known or written as Moog Music or big briar, R.A.Moog, Musonics
Bob Moog died in 2005 and had to fight a long time to re-use his own name, he worked under the big briar name when that happened, but he had some took overs and collaborations with lots of companies like norlin, musonics and the coops: Crumar, Realistic and others..

THE MANUFACTURER
Muss man über Moog was sagen? Gegründet von Robert Arthur Moog (genannt Bob Moog). Er baute zunächst Theremine und hatte nach den ersten Erfolgen mit dem Modularsystem und dem Minimoog andere Firmen, die die Firma übernahmen wie Norlin und Musonics, es gab auch unzählige Zusammenarbeiten mit anderen wie beim Crumar Spirit oder dem Realistic Moog MG1/Concertmate, Heute arbeitet die Firma ohne ihren August 2005 verstorbenen Gründer. Die Moog Foundation kümmert sich heute um sein Erbe, während Moog Music heute eine andere Philosophie verfolgt. Bob war sicher kein perfekter Geschäftsmann wie viele andere US Schmieden von Synthesizern auch, er hatte lange um seinen Namen kämpfen müssen und firmierte in der Zeit als Big Briar.
