successor of Fantom.. the same as the XV5080/Fantom with a Sampler (S750), the S750 had a nice Crossmod of Samples (the first one that could do it with SAMPLES), added Sample pads (vel. dynamics!) and USB for WAV and AIF audio. - Fantom has Workstation Sequencer, XV5080 has no sequencer!! newer X Version with Audio Recording (!) - Xa Version: cheaper no colours on display and pads without dynamics.

Nachfolger des XV5080/Fantom (mit Sampler S750er) Serie. Dieser Sampler hatte sehr früh schon Crossmodulation von Samples! hatte zusätzlich noch Pads für Samples und Loops, eine Funktion zum festhalten der Samples solang der Speicher reicht und ohne "aufzunehmen" namens "skip back", USB (WAV,AIF), Sequencer (Workstation Typ), neuere Version (X) mit Audio Recording!! Fantom Xa: wie X nur ohne Dynamik und mit einfacherem Display.

The Envelopes are all 7 or 8 parameter-multisegment ones! The filters are all ok exept the strange clipping at a certain level of resonance with some waveforms. full control via Midi SysEx. ringmod can be placed between the 4 layers: this is the prototype of Rolands following JV series and lots more.64MB ROM waves. FXM = sort of FM with square wave (depth and colour) 10 structures. modulation matrix. the first Fantom is just the Keyboard Version of the XV5080, X/S added USB for communication (much cooler to have) and pads, also mod sequencer like the Vsynth has on X models.

X-Series has 128MB ROM samples, the previous versions got 64MB.

Die Hüllkurven (12 Stück also) sind alles Multisegment-Hüllkurven mit Time-Level Struktur (7, bzw 8 Parameter), Die Filter sind gewohnt gut, nur gibt es bei bestimmten Wellenformen eine Art Clipping bei höheren Resonanzwerten. war komplett SysEx-Echtzeit steuerbar per Midi. die ringmod kann zwischen den 4 Layern platziert werden. diese Struktur wurde lange beibehalten zB JV Serie. 64MB ROM waves. FXM= eine Art FM mit rechteck (parameter: colour + depth) pro OSC nutzbar. 10 Verschaltungen (structures). modulationsmatrix. Fantom: die erste Fantom Version ist identisch mit dem XV5080. X/S: haben USB für Datentausch!! sehr bequem. ausserdem später audio recording und sehr guten modulations-sequencer wie im Vsynth!

X-Serie: 128MB ROM Samples. Davor: 64MB.

alternativen: JV Serie, XV Serie und sogar die Fantom Serie oder der JD990. Fantom is nur die Keyboard Version des XV5080 - X und S Fantom haben dynamische Sample Pads und USB für eigene Samples (per Computer leichter tauschbar) - div keygrößen X6,X7,X8 bezieht sich auf 61,76 oder 88 Tasten.
