ABOUT a D50 with knobs? at least it is a successor of the D50 and came up when everybody was lusting for knobs. the JD was the first one introducing the Layer system: 4 OSC-Filter-Amp with 2 LFOs each can be used, with all layers active the JD800 will be 6voice polyphonic, when using one layer it is 24voiced, but.. 24000 were made, so it is not really rare. check the buttons when buying one. the JD800 is based on samples, so it was the first "rompler" (rom player - samples in read only memory) with knobs. the only odd thing here: no ringmod or FM, if you wanted that get the JD990 (can be controlled from the JDs sliders)
ABOUT der JD800 war sowas, wie der erste beknopfte "Rompler" (Samples im festspeicher, nicht änderbar), er bot 4 Schichten von OSC-filter-Verstärker mit je 2 LFOs - Strängen und wurde pro Strang um einige Stimmen erleichtert, so ist ein 4-Schichten (Layer) Sound 6stimmig. Er hat also 2x4 LFOs und 4x3 Hüllkurven und 4 Filter. Es gab seinerzeit 24000 Stück davon, wer einen kauft sollte auf funktionierende Tipptasten achten.

DETAILS The Envelopes are all 7 or 8 parameter-multisegment ones! The filters are all ok exept the strange clipping at a certain level of resonance with some waveforms. full control via Midi SysEx.5times multi plus drumpart.
DETAILS Die Hüllkurven (12 Stück also) sind alles Multisegment-Hüllkurven mit Time-Level Struktur (7, bzw 8 Parameter), Die Filter sind gewohnt gut, nur gibt es bei bestimmten Wellenformen eine Art Clipping bei höheren Resonanzwerten. war komplett SysEx-Echtzeit steuerbar per Midi. 5fach multi plus drumpart.

VERSION the JD990 can do everything but a bit more, but it is a rack (no knobs) but compatible to the JDs SysEx commands.
