ABOUT Waldorfs analogue synth, stackable with other pulses to make it polyphonic. the Idea came when experimenting with the X-Pole filter (Stefan Stenzel from Waldorf)

Waldorf is the second re-incarnation with almost the same team but without the founder Wolfgang Düren. Waldorf was really a synth company who even dare to make the big Wave Synthesizer which was sort of successor to the PPG Wave Synthesizers.DER HERSTELLER
THE MANUFACTURER
Waldorf wurden sicher spätestens mit dem Waldorf Wave sehr bekannt, noch unter Wolfgang Düren als Boss bauten sie eine Reihe von sehr innovativen Synthesizern, zunächst auf Basis des PPG Wave und entwickelten sich weiter, verloren aber nicht ihre Stärke Hybridsynthesizer bauen zu können. Nach der Insolvenz Waldorfs in den frühen 2000ern kamen sie ohne Wolgang Düren mit einem ähnlichen Team wieder und kündigten direkt eine neue Produktlinie an, die sich weitgehend an den früheren Synthesizern orientiert und legten auch den Q+ und MicroQ als Phönix Editon limiert wieder auf. Chefcoder S.Stenzel hatte zwischenzeitlich den Komplexer für Terratec gebaut und Wolfram Franke kam von Access zurück zu Waldorf, vielleicht haben die Virus-Synthesizer deshalb heute Wavetables?
