ABOUT the gnat is a one -DCO version of the Wasp and it only has a LPF instead of multimode filter - Electronic Dream Plant was before Huggett founded OSC: Oxford Synthesiser Company OSCar. another fine synth (beside the WASP) from Chris Huggett (about his other project: EDP and his teaming up with EMS-David Cockerell) (imo he's the one who is also responsible for EDP) huggett later worked for akai (the s1000), strange, but .. the wasp had a special keyboard that allows you to slide on it like the EMS but a very rare delluxe version was made with "real" keys, too. the filter was made of "digital" components.. nevertheless it sounds good. well known users are Pink Floyd (welcome to the machine)
ABOUT
DETAILS the gnat has a LPF filter and it's envelope is loopable (repeat). alternatively it has a delay. the spider (a sequencer) can be attached (DIN cable), it belonged to the system but of course one had to buy it separately. no CV/gate but via DIN it works..
DETAILS
SOUND nice little synth using batteries on the streets.
SOUND netter kleiner synth für unterwegs (batteriebetrieb)
SOUND
VERSION larger one : Wasp with 2 DCOs, and deluxe version with real keyboard (rare), there was another Gnat deluxe Version also (ultra rare).
