I've checked the manual to find software adjustment of contrast with no luck. No direct hardware indicator of this either nor any trimpot on the board. So I will continue to assume it's a power issue. I haven't double checked the power feed to the different circuits yet, but will check the tip...

My problem is not the lighting, it's that I don't see any letters and digits. From what I read above and elsewhere this sounded as a common EMP700 problem. So my guess is that you guys were talking about the capacitors in the PSU circuit, right where the power reaches the main board - right?

Hi - I have two of these and both with display errors... :-( Which caps am I recommended to replace? They all _look_ fine, but having read the above I wonder. :)
