To partially answer my own question: Midi Quest 11 for Windows appears to be working alright with the K1r, both as a bank and single editor. It's the best option I've found so far.

Thanks everyone for the very warm welcome, and even some Dutch words!! I'm not really into that noodling "scene". I think it's fun to mess around with sounds by yourself for a while, but watching someone else do that is often a bit boring. And "Nederlands" is already a Dutch word of course...
