Yes, and that what I expected from the Voyager as well. That would allow one to program the OD amount into the patch. No idea to what amount this is possible on the Voyager (if at all), and how it sounds. It's different from the LP, that's clear now, gee...

Did any of you compare Kyma and MetaSynth? I had a quick glance on the MetaSynth site, but I get the impression they still have a long way to go to reach the level of Kyma. No?

Got it! Wowie, that's a nice module! I love super fast LFOs, audio range, that's where the fun is most of the time. Nice mp3s, heh.

Nice... That won't be a problem, heh. I really liked the SEM filter in the Andro, and I've enough filter modules here to route the Semtex through something else. I wonder what it is in the Semtex that makes it cleaner. Could be the better components in general, could be the OSCs. :wink:

You lucky bastard! The Semtex looks very interesting, love the semi modular approach and the snappy EGs. The filter sounds great of course. Not sure though about the OSCs. In those SEM vs Semtex demo mp3s, the Semtex OSCs sounded really thin when compared with the real thing. I know...

I agree, and it's not about being able to sell the Kyma afterwards. Yes, I own the '190 module, it's my main VCA. I don't use the RM feature much, but when I did I got very nice results. However, I'm not familiar with the CS80 RM output, so I can't compare. My guess is that maybe the CS80 has some extra magic going on that makes it such an impressive effect on...

As far as I know, the current Capy hardware is already the third generation, they've updated it twice already. And it took about 5 years between every generation. Maybe the new DSPs were software compatible with the previous ones, while this time there is no such option available. Maybe they are...

Fully agree with you there! It's the best there is, imo. But it's just too damn expensive for me. We're talking $3550 for the capy + $2400 for 4 extra cards + shipping + 20% customs and taxes, which is close to $7200 for a reasonable system that is technically already at the end of it's...

The '190 has two independent VCAs, and only VCA #1 can be switched to VCA or RM mode. In RM mode it uses both the audio and CV input of VCA #1 as RM sources, while VCA #2 can do it's own thing.

I also have a MOTM system, and I think I have all the filters. I build them from kits. The '440 is indeed the fattest and warmest of them all. A real 'classic' filter, and the bass stays, even when you turn up the resonance, unlike what you get with a Moog ladder filter. There's even a bass...
