Korg Arp 2600 Plugin

Hallo Leute,

habe heute die Demo vom Arp 2600 von Korg getestet und finde der klingt recht gut, wie ist eure Meinung zu dem Plugin?

Ich finde auch das es gut klingt.
Die Bedienung macht mir nur keinen Spaß.

Ja die Oberfläche ist schon sehr unergenomisch, da würde ich mir so etwas wie Serum wünschen von der GUI.

Hab mal wieder auf random in 2 Minuten irgendwas gemacht und auf Record gedrückt und mal aufgenommen. Kenne den Synth natürlich nicht mal im Ansatz von den Möglichkeiten her und musikalisch verzeiht mir bitte, ich hab halt keine Ahnung.

Bei dem Plugin wurde ja viel Wert gelegt auf die ganzen Ungenauigkeiten der Tonerzeugung, Hüllkurven, Filter etc.




Erst gestern habe ich entdeckt dass man da so einige Sachen auch noch tweaken kann, wie z.B. den Oszillator Drift der über die Zeit entsteht usw.
Das beim neuen Release eingeführte unilineare Keytracking habe ich aber noch auf 0%, muss ich noch mal einstellen.





Hier die Release Notes der neusten Version:

• Improved workflow for initial installation of sound data; the user only needs to select a destination folder if installing to a non-default location.
• Factory data is now downloaded to a temporary file on disk instead of into RAM. This should improve reliability for rare cases in which the user's computer did not have sufficient free RAM for the download.
• New modeling of Key Tracking nonlinearity. Hardware 2600s do not have perfect key-tracking for pitch and filter cutoff; this can add interesting dimensions to sounds, particularly for special effects. The new KeyTrk Nonlinearity Trim Pot adjusts nonlinearity for CVs 1 and 2, Osc 1-3, and filter cutoff. This is accompanied by a new Voice Variation control, Key Tracking, which adjusts the variation of nonlinearity between voices. Both controls default to 0, so that existing sounds are not affected.
• MIDI Mapping is improved in several ways. Previously, inactive mappings (to un-selected effects or electric piano types, for instance) were hidden; now they are always displayed. The effect type is now included in the parameter name. MIDI Mapping for effects enable is now common to the effect slot, rather than being independent per effect type.
• In the Librarian, if a Collection is selected and then all of its items are deleted or moved out of the Collection, the Collection name is now removed from the filters list.
• When undoing an import action, the message now reads "Please wait…"
• Automation of 2- and 3-way switches now plays back properly.
• Previously, the Import and Export progress dialogs might not have closed properly. This has now been fixed.
• Previously, if the user edited a Set List, closed the Set List window, and then used Undo, a crash could occur. This has now been fixed.
• Previously, "Settings > Check now…" for new version resulted in a communication error in the effect version, ARP 2600 FX. This has now been fixed.
• Previously, with specific Program parameter settings, changing Programs rapidly could cause a crash. This has now been fixed.
• Windows only: Previously, when exporting data, the progress bar could remain stuck on the screen. This has now been fixed.
• Windows only: previously, dialog boxes might have overlapped. This has now been fixed.
