ORCHID | chord generating synthesizer

While there was no mention of price, if you follow the QR code that appears on the screen, you’re taken to a survey where you can express interest in the Toraiz Chordcat. One of the questions is about pricing: “How do you feel about the price of the Chordcat, $249 (excluding tax)?” Although this is clearly not set in stone, it’s pretty close to what the groovebox sold for in its initial limited run in Japan. (The Chordcat is still not available widely in Japan.)

If you want to fill out the survey yourself, follow this link.

Fahrradkette.

Gibt/gab übrigens wieder ein Lebenszeichen:

We launched in the USA first (mostly for boring certification reasons) and now we’re ready to release a further 3000 units: 1000 more to the USA, and 2000 to the rest of the world.

To help us build our international audience across Australia, UK and Europe, we’re inviting a small group of artists, producers, engineers, vocalists, and collaborators to take part in the pilot launch of Telepathic Studios. The space will be set up for ideas to happen — a studio workstation, an engineer, an array of instruments, an Orchid (obviously), and a collection of collaborative, talented musicians and producers that are ready to help bring new music into the world.

Want to know more? Head here for the full details and how to get involved, and then you can fill out this form to register your interest.
You’re invited to bring any idea you have for a song (or, if you’re feeling lucky, just your wits and talents) into our studio space. You’ll have 1-2 hours to use Orchid (and any of the other artists or instruments on-hand) to turn that into the nucleus of a song. We’ll have an engineer running the desk, and a producer or two on hand to help you bring your idea to life.

We’re going global for this next Orchid drop.

Tell us where you are based so we can make sure you get the right time and information for your location.

The marketing of the Orchid was a masterclass, but this is the Fyre Festival product in its current state. I'll see you in 5 years for the proper unit!

Here’s everything you need to know:

How Much?

Pricing for Drop 2 remains unchanged at $549 USD with a free custom carry case, though U.S. customers should note potential implications related to evolving U.S.–China trade regulations (duties/tariffs may apply).

When?

29th May

We’re setting aside stock for US and North, Central and South American customers due to incredible demand last drop. To make things fair, we’ll release the drops at 2 different times:

1. North, South, and Central America: 4pm PST | 6pm CDT | 7pm EDT

2. Rest of World: 9am BST | 10am CET | 6pm AET

Stock allocation of the 3000 limited units will be based on signups and demand, the more people that sign up and let us know their location, the more Orchids we’ll assign to their region.

SIGN UP HERE

Where?

We will be locking the Telepathic website on Tuesday 27th (AET) ahead of the drop.

Access to the store will be via password, which will again be revealed on Patreon in The Garden. We learnt some lessons last drop, and Kevin will have better internet this time for the password reveal. When the timer reaches zero, the password to access the store will be revealed.

How Many?

1 Per Customer

To keep things fair, we are again limiting stock to 1 Orchid per customer. If you already own an Orchid, you can participate in this drop too. And if you’re a scalper... don’t.

Merch? Free Shipping?

If you want to add merch to your order to reach any free shipping thresholds, we recommend adding them to you cart before we lock the store for this sale.

We're still confirming these thresholds so check your cart on the day. They’ll still be in your cart when you come back to add your Orchid in the drop so you can check-out quickly.

What's On Your Mind?

Everyone else is making videos of Orchid, so here's one of our own.
