Ich würde auch am liebsten kein Gerät haben und keine Infrastruktur benötigen. Das wäre am einfachsten, aber irgendwas muss man dann nehmen und dann das was cool ist. Naja - es bleibt schwierig.

Das mit dem Update-Zwang ist inzwischen schon so ne Sache... Früher konnte man entspannt abwarten, aber wenn man sich dann mal von der neuen Apple Hardware hat locken lassen (M2 pro Mac mini in meinem Fall) muss man ja ein neues System haben. Leider werden auch viele neue Features für Logic und Final Cut von Apple nur noch für die neuesten Systeme spendiert. Insofern besteht doch inzwischen ein ziemlicher Update-Zwang. Ausserdem hatte ich unter Ventura so einige Probleme (noch nicht mal die Einrichtung nach dem Auspacken lief durch!) und da ist dann immer die Hoffnung, dass es besser wird. Nun - wohl nicht bei 14.4... USB-Hub Probleme soll's auch geben, las ich heute...

A few users have reported various problems with Kilohearts plugins in the latest MacOS update and we are in the process of working out what is causing them and finding a solution.

Der Softube Support hat mich darauf hingewiesen, dass es seit heute ein Mac OS Update auf Sonoma 14.4.1 gibt. Nach der Installation funktionieren die problematischen PlugIns (Softube, UAD, SSL) bei mir wieder in Logic!
Ob es andere Nebenwirkungen gibt wird sich zeigen - bisher läuft's wieder fein!
