Jeff Mills hätte sich auch beschweren müssen bei Roland was die 909 nicht macht und genervt in den Kontaktanzeigen der damaligen Tageszeitungen nach Gleichgesinnten suchen müssen statt einfach kreativ damit zu arbeiten was er hatte.

äh was? das ist doch genau das, was wir beklagen: dass akai mit seiner update-politik lieber grenzenlosen konsumismus schürt (immer mehr features, mehr extensions, mehr alles), als endlich mal die absoluten grundfunktionen auf solide füße zu stellen.
 
jo, genau das ist eine Sache warum ich mit meiner One so eine Hassliebe hege.
Weniger und einfacher/intuitiver wäre mir da lieber. Ist jetzt so auch okay; die Kiste kann echt viel und irgendwo findet sich immer eine Einsatzmöglichkeit, aber als Hauptarbeitstier werd ich mit der One nicht wirklich warm.

  1. You can now purchase a range of new plugin instruments for use with MPC standalone, MPC desktop software, and other DAWs."

"Activating Instrument Plugins
If you have purchased an MPC instrument, you can activate it on up to three devices.
Note: Activation requires an internet connection. To activate plugins:
  1. Open the Preferences menu by pressing Menu or tapping the icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then tapping the Preferences icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. You will need a valid internet connection to activate your plugins, so if you are not already connected, use the Wi-Fi or Ethernet menus to select your network.
  3. Tap the Activate Plugins option on the left side of the screen.
  4. Tap the Log In button to log into your inMusic Profile. You can scan the QR code with a mobile device or open the URL shown on the page in a browser of your choice. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to create one.
  5. Once you have been logged in, you can try out plugin instruments through a free trial, or activate your purchases. To start a trial, tap the Start Trial button next to the desired plugin.
    To register a purchase, use the Enter Serial field to enter your serial number and then tap Register. To refresh the page with your latest purchases or activations, tap Refresh.
    To activate a plugin on your device, tap the Activate button next to its name. Tap Deactivate to remove the plugin activation from your device.
    To download a purchase to your device, first tap the Change button at the bottom of the touchscreen to select a Content Download Drive. This can be a connected SATA drive, USB drive, or SD card. Then, tap the download icon to begin downloading the plugin to your drive. The download icon will change to show the installation progress. Once the process is complete, you can use your plugin with standalone MPC.
To log out of your account, tap Log Out."

Doch, aber nciht umsonst. Laut der Akai-Seite für 149 € (OP4, z.B) oder zum Ultraschnapperkurs von 499 € für alle sechs (!) Instrumente mit sagenhaften 5GB Samples. Wo man die bei nicht einmal 2 GB reinladen soll, ist mir allerdings ein Rätsel.
Und ja, ich finde das ganz schön unverschämt und echt nicht kundenorientiert. 199 € für alles hätte ich als ok empfunden, so wäre das auch bei kompletten Versions-Upgrades von DAWs. Aber so viel für so wenig ist echt sportlich.
 
Das war doch auch gefragt, wenn ich mich nicht irre:

Note Probability
• You can now add probability to any note in the MPC sequencer.
• From the TUI Grid View select a note, open up the lower Automation Panel and from the
drop down menu select Probability. By default each note is assigned a probability of
100% so it always plays, adjust the value to set how likely the note is to play.
• From the GUI Grid Editor, use the Automation Lane’s Probability option to set the
probability a note will play.
• From the GUI/TUI List editor use the probability column to set the probability a note will
play.
• From 16 Levels use the probability option to play in different probability values from the
MPC pads.
• Probability is also saved/loaded in MPC pattern files.
 
Die Installationsroutine ist klasse. Sie hat den Krempel auf meinem Rechner installiert.

Seltsam, zur Live 2 gibt es doch kaum einen Unterschied außer bei den Bedienelementen und den Lautsprechern.
 
Aus dem oben verlinkten Changelog:
Firmware
„This release is for MPC One, MPC Live Mk2, MPC X, MPC Live and MPC Key 61 hardware.“
Die haben das halt einfach auf der MK I-Seite nicht angepasst.
 
Nee ernsthaft, 50 Taler wie bei einer NI Expansion pro Instrument hätte ich okay gefunden, aber das ist etwas .. naja ... ernüchternd

Ich finds zwar auch überzogen,der Vergleich hinkt aber trotzdem arg.Synth etc vs Sample/Soundpack.Es gibt ja auch MPC Expansions…just sayin.
 
Auf den FM-Synthie hätte ich mich gefreut. Alles andere habe ich gut abgedeckt. Und die Romplersounds findet man auch in Expansions. Da habe ich unzählige Sounds vom Tyros, Kronos und Motif drauf.

Ansonsten finde ich das Update sehr gelungen. Endlich ein Tuner und Favoritenlisten. Air Flavour finde ich auch großartig.

Jetzt bitte noch Midiclips und die Möglichkeit die Trackreiehenfolge zu ändern.

Akai gehört wohl auch zu denen,die ihr Business ala Waves betreiben.Zu hohe UVP aber feuern dafür ständig die überkrassen Megasales ab,wird bestimmt nicht allzulange dauern bis man sie für Taschengeldpreis auf Pluginboutique etc angeboten bekommt.

Hab die Plug-Ins gestern ausprobiert und freue mich schon auf ne Black-Friday Sale o.ä.
Der FM-Synth und die Strings gefallen mir ziemlich gut.
 
Das sind auch die beiden,die ich gern hätte.Vor allem den FM Synth.
