gestern hat olivier gillet aka mutable instruments bei modular square vier neue module vorgestellt. eines davon ist shelves, ein vc equalizer mit einem expander, der zwei der vier kanaelen zusaetzliche lp-, hp- und bp-ausgaenge gibt:

fuer mich siehts nach einem vielversprechenden konzept aus.

allerdings gabs gleich gestern im seitenlangen teaser-thread im m.i.-forum auch schon eine erste, kleine enttaeuschung: die vier filter-frequenz-cv-eingaenge sind offenbar nicht exakt auf v/oct kalibriert:

They are not calibrated, so it might be 0.99V/Oct or 1.01V/Oct.

Self-oscillation is more a corner-case than a behaviour that has been planned for.

aber naja, wenn die abweichtung wirklich so gering ist, ist das wohl kein vorstellungsbeendiger.

Scheint wieder gute Preis / Leistung zu werden, wie Braids, Yarns usw. Dank solcher Leute wie Olivier, wird der Preistreiberei ein wirksamer Riegel vorgeschoben.

steht bereits in meiner jeweiligen ersten post in jedem fred zu einem der neuen module, aber was solls:

Clouds: 299€ – 18 HP
Elements: 529€ – 34 HP
Streams: 229€ – 12 HP
Shelves: 199€ – 16 HP (+ 4 HP output expander available Q1 2015).

All of this subject to the EXCEPT IF SHIT HAPPENS clause.

Hatte vorhin das Vergnügen bei Schneiders mal ein wenig an Shelves herumzuspielen. Ich fand das Ding super. Klingt schön "vanilla" und schmatzt teilweise wirklich toll... Auch das Anpingen hat nette drum-like Effekte gezaubert.

Ich musste einen vorbestellen und bin echt gespannt, wenn er bei mir im Rack landet.
