sehr hilfreich kann dieses Lemur-Template fürs ipad sein

ich habe das von der Lemur Downloadseite runtergeladen und ne kleine Anpassung für den Crossfader gemacht

man kann damit den kompletten Octatrack steuern ... das ist schon allein für die Mixerpage mit Volume, mute,solo usw. megainteressant

Überlege mir schon länger mir für sowas zb nen BEatstep zu holen...

Wenn ich Musik mache am Octatrack brauche ich das eigentlich nicht, aber live kann man sich einfach zu viel verhauen mit der Kiste, finde ich.

Beatstep funktioniert genau dafür super mit dem OT. Und das schöne an den 16 Speicherplätzen ist, dass du einen für Lautstärke /Mutes nutzen kannst und danach immer noch 15 weitere für andere Kombinationen frei hast. Ist meines Wissens nach auch einer der wenigen Controller, die bei der kleinen Größe 16 Pass, 16 Drehregler UND einen echten MIDI Out hat. Das war bei mir auch das finale Kriterium - einen Rechner möchte ich live nicht mehr dabei haben.

Quick example of a trick I've come up with on my Octatrack:

Ingredients:
64 breakbeats at the same bpm (best prepared in ableton)

- each sliced into 16 slices
- slice 1 of all breakbeats saved as one '64 sample' wav
- slice 2 of all breakbeats saved as another 64 etc etc

Instructions
Load all 16 wavs that you created into static slots
Slice each sample into 64 slices (dont snap to zero)
Enable slice on your Octatrack channel
Create a pattern on the Octatrack with step 1 sample-locked to slice one, step 2 to slice 2 etc

Map X-Fader to one scene mapped to Slice1 and another set to Slice64

- Play the loop and you can swich to a different breakbeat at any point of the loop.
- Set up a load of different patterns with the sample locks in different orders for variation

Press play and mess around with the x-fader. Instant jungle mayhem
