So stell ich mir den Beatstep 2 vor. Verglichen mit dem Deluge sind es mir evtl. zu wenig Sequenzen und Steps... Wobei die Anzahl der Steps durch Randomization kompensiert werden könnte. Davon abgesehen siehts mega gut aus. Gleich mal eingetragen in die Liste...
 
Danke, ich finde auch, daß er gut aussieht. Wenn er gute Alleinstellungsmerkmale hat ist er interessant. Da ich ein Deluge besitze wäre ein Squid vielleicht die bessere Wahl als Komplementärgerät. Aber ich habe mich auch mal auf die Liste gesetzt.
 
Im Thread auf Elektronauts schreibt übrigens auch der Entwickler (oder einer der Entwickler), also wenn ihr Fragen habt könntet ihr die da schnell mal stellen.

Es scheint sich wohl mehr in Richtung Probability, Randomization und Trig Conditions zu bewegen; wobei ich sagen muß, dass ich seit dem Elektron in allen (außer den Silberkisten) Trig Conditions hat damit auch gut klarkomme (und ich hatte früher regelmäßig Probleme meine Ideen in 64 Steps quetschen zu müssen ;-) ). Wenn alle deine Sequencer das ambieten, stößt man doch eher selten an Grenzen.
Jetzt müsste man nur noch (ohne Workarounds) auf einem Step zwei verschiedene Noten alternieren können, (*) damit wäre das Problem doch endgültig gelöst, oder?
*(Also mit jedem Durchlauf würde z.B. Step 5 eine andere festgelegte Note spielen).

Die Patternlänge gibt ja letztendlich auch nicht die Anzahl der Takte vor.
Das sind verschiedene Faktoren, die dann die Takte unterteilen, aber das weisst du ja selbst ;-)

Steht da doch nirgends das nach 4 Takten Schluss ist. Da steht was von 64 Steps. Und wie lang kann ein Step sein?
 
1/32th bis 1 Bar pro Step.

Man hat auch verschiedene Modi, vorwärts, rückwärts, alternierend vor- und zurück und random.

Sieht wirklich sehr schick aus. Wie ist denn eure Erfahrung mit so einem early access/Kickstarter Projekt? Also bezüglich dem Preis. Sie schreiben ja, dass man als Baker einen wirklich starken Rabatt bekommen kann. Ist das nur Marketing? Also ist das Teil offiziell mit 600$ UVP vermarktet, aber der Straßenpreis wird dann später sowie auf die 400 zugehen?
 
Auf Elektronauts schrieb der Entwickler (oder ein der Entwickler?) die 600$ sind als Sicherheit gewählt worden, es wird wohl um die 500 bzw. leicht unter 500 werden. Wenn alles gut läuft.

Mal grundsätzlich: Darauf würde ich nicht achten auf Kickstarter. Hab gemerkt das es ziemlich ungesund ist weil man auch noch den Zeitdruck hat. Genauso funktionieren auch Betrugsmaschen. Bei so Nieschenprodukten ist die Chance allerdings auch recht gering das es Betrug ist. Wenn Du Dir nicht sicher bist dann warte. Wenn das Produkt wirklich gut ist dann ist es auch den vollen Preis wert.

In diesem Fall ist wahrscheinlich noch bis Mai Zeit bis die Kampagne startet. Da bleibt noch genug Zeit sich ein Bild zu verschaffen und mein Eindruck bisher ist sehr gut.

You have to take into account dealer margins and all costs. The housing is CNC aluminum, it's not exactly cheap. The board includes many components, 8 cv outputs adapted from -3 to 5V, battery, charging and measurement system, Bluetooth module..., and don't forget the 128 RGB LEDs. We made a lot of optimizations to get as close as possible to this price point but we say € 600 because we don't want to lie to anyone in case extracosts appear. Anyway you can get a great discount by backing the campaing the first few days. I can't tell exact % but I promise it will be under 400€ and as close as possible to 300€ for the first backers.

About the limit of steps I agree with you all. Most of the time you don't have musical ideas longer than 4 bar, but when it's the case, you don't want to feel limited by the hardware. The arranger of Song view is really cool to chain patterns but anyway, it can be annoying to have to resort to that feature in this case.
I will increase the steps of the MONO and CHORD MODEs up to 128 steps. The last 64 steps will be available from the UI in a not so obvious way but they will be there. Fair enough?

I think the price of 500€ you're aiming is really good. I find it much more important that it really works well and once it's on the market you'll keep improving the software.
So far this looks really promising to me!

your price is more than fair, so I'd not bother much about that. there is a lot you offer with the "one", the idea of increasing the steps for mono tracks is good news, please note - I am a bit special on that :)
but I really had problems finding a cool machine for chords and polyphony with full vel. range and still able to leave my hands off the polyphonic synth for 16 measures since it is just ok to play that again but not cut into 4 patterns since it is simply a longer phrase that works fine.

so keep the faith.

Es muss eine App entwickelt werden für Updates, Backups, Konfiguration und mehr. Diese wird voraussichtlich Open Source und auf allen Plattformen (Linux, MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android) verfügbar sein. Dafür werde ich gewissen Maßen den Grundstein legen. Wenn alles gut läuft, krieg ich eventuell auch Beta-Hardware zum Testen der App und des Geräts.
Außerdem habe ich mich bereiterklärt das Feedback aus diesem Forum weiter zu geben, Fragen zu beantworten und ggf. zu vermitteln.

klingt spannend!
Ich hab die letzten Tage immer wieder über den OXI One nachgedacht. Bisher ist ist jedes Feature das mir eingefallen ist schon bedacht. Zumindest auf der Webseite aufgeführt.
Bin echt gespannt wie sich das entwickelt und hoffe meinen Senf beitragen zu können!

Ist ein spannendes Projekt und da man nie genug Sequencer haben kann, beobachte ich das auf jeden Fall^^ :iPC:

Die Features sehen super aus, mir fällt jetzt auch nichts ein, dass mir fehlt - aber was mir bei einem Sequencer, den Leute zum Jammen und auf die Bühne mitnehmen würden auf jeden Fall wichtig wäre ist Stabilität, Langlebigkeit, Haptik und prinzipiell Qualität in diese Richtung halt. :huebsch:

Ich würde dann auch lieber 50€ drauflegen, statt 50€ zu sparen...

Ach, mir ist doch was eingefallen; Eine Sequenz editieren während eine andere läuft!

So wie man bei der TR8s eine Variation die nicht spielt editieren kann quasi.
Das wär super...bei vielen Sequencern hängt man ja in dem Pattern fest das man spielt.

Step Loop scheint es ja zu geben, k.A. wie das implementiert ist, cool ist wenn man einfach zwei Steps (Start- und Endpunkt) halten könnte und der Track loopt dann diesen Teil einfach. Durch verschieben der Start bzw. Endpunkte kann man den Loop kürzer/länger machen, bis runter auf einen Step.
Müsste dann für alle 4 Tracks getrennt gehen logischerweise.

superwichtig !
fehlt überall !! (bei den Geräten die ich hatte ) .........fehlt sowieso bei den elektrons.

mit ein Grund wieso ich das "benutzen" von so stepsequenzern aufgegeben habe.
ich mag doch nicht immer 4 takte durchhören müssen um spezifische passagen zu optimieren.......
............spass verloren.
oder ich mach dann nur noch 1-2taktige beats...........die dann schnell langweilig werden....wenn ich doch mal weider was programmiere
