Was meint Ihr ? Vor allem der Sound muss stimmen!

Version 3.3 (2020-03-04)
• Scalable GUI and retina support.
• Scripts can now be written in Javascript.
• Scripts can display custom user interface panels.
• A new button in preferences lets you turn off keyboard shortcuts, allowing you to
play MIDI notes with the MIDI keyboard without first having to click outside the
Microtonicwindow.
• Fixed an issue where exporting audio and MIDI produced invalid files when running under trial.
• Fixed a problem with the "Optimize for PO-32" button after user scripts had been
run.
• Program names with international characters should now show correctly in most
hosts.
• (Mac) Several fixes to the standalone version, including better support for various
audio interfaces.
• New algorithm for the "system unique identifier" used for authorization. Hopefully
fixing the problem where the plug-in became unregistered spontaneously.
• Fixed a bug that could leave temporary files behind when saving and replacing
files.
• (Mac) Solved a compatibility problem with DAWs that are built with recent Apple
SDK's, e.g. Cubase 10.5.
• (Mac) Notarized installer for Catalina.
• (Mac) New 64-bit compatible uninstaller.
• (Mac)"Go to folder" buttons in browser now work in Catalina.
• (Mac) 64-bit Audio Units no longer depend on the "Component Manager". This
means you should not need to restart after installation.
• (Mac) Preferences and registration data is now shared with "sandboxed" DAWs
like GarageBand (meaning Authenticator works with these DAWs too).
• (Mac) Fixed a problem where under certain conditions the preferences data could
stay locked if the DAW crashed, requiring a full system restart.
• Lots of other minor bug and compatibility fixes
diese skripte sind der Hammer!
ja genau sowas in die Hardware einbauen.Absolut!
Happy holidays synth friends!
During the past few years I have been experimenting with machine learning algorithms that search for parameter settings to imitate any sound with any synth. Today I am happy to reveal the first fruit of this labor: Vintage Tonic.
Vintage Tonic is a patch package for Microtonic created from recordings of the following classic drum machines:
Notice that the collection includes both analog and digital drum machines. Naturally, the digital drum machines are much harder to reproduce using Microtonic's synthesizer engine, but even imperfect results are fun, and I find the sounds quite useful.
- Maestro Rhythm King (1960)
- Keio / Korg Minipops 7 (1966)
- Roland CR-78 CompuRhythm (1978)
- Korg KR-55 (1979)
- Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer (1980)
- Oberheim DMX (1981)
- Linn Drum (1982)
- Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer (1984)
- Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer (1984)
- Roland TR-505 Rhythm Composer (1986)
The older drum machines were mainly preset pattern players. I have painstakingly tried to reproduce not only their sounds but also all of their original patterns.
I hope you will find this collection useful. I believe it shows a new side of Microtonic, and it amazes even me how versatile this old plugin still is.
Have a listen for yourselves:
- We have updated all our products with bug fixes and some new features.
Most importantly, all of our products are now VST3 compatible. They look and sound identical in all three formats (VST2, VST3, and AU), and they take up about the same amount of CPU. Feature-wise they are also very similar, and if your DAW lets you choose between formats, we cannot really recommend one over the other.
In other news, Echobode and Bitspeek now allow MIDI mapping of knobs and support program changes with MIDI notes or MIDI Program Change messages.
Furthermore, we have increased the graphics resolution of Echobode, Bitspeek, and Permut8 to give you full "retina" quality with 200% zoom.
Besides this, we have eliminated a few bugs and resolved a bunch of compatibility issues. We recommend everyone to update to the new versions. The only reason you would not want to update is if you are running 32-bit Windows, as we removed support for this now.
To update, simply download and run our multi-installer here: https://soniccharge.com/download
Finally, we have updated Cyclone, our free TX16W emulator, for the first time in almost ten years. It now works on Mac again (and Windows still) in all three supported formats. We have given it high-resolution graphics and a few new features (right-click for a menu).
Have fun!
Here is some more detailed information on our VST3 ports:
- In hosts where VST3 replaces VST2 (e.g., Cubase), we have made every possible effort to ensure that everything sounds the same when you load old projects.
- MIDI out (notes only) should work in Microtonic and Synplant
- MIDI Program Change messages are supported, but many VST3 hosts do not seem to implement the support.
- "Learning" of MIDI CC numbers is supported, provided it is implemented by the VST3 host (at the time of this writing, it is not supported in Ableton Live, for example).
- Because of limitations in VST3, you cannot assign the same MIDI CC to more than one parameter in Microtonic.
- The following features in Microtonic do not work and are disabled: "MIDI CC operate on selected channel", "MIDI CC generate parameter automation", "Improved scaling of MIDI CC values" and "Knobs and buttons send MIDI CC".
- You cannot turn the individual pattern steps on and off with MIDI CC in Microtonic.
- A .vstpreset file is the complete program bank, not a single preset.
