SonicCharge MicroTonic Drums + TE PO32 Integration etc.

Microtoniq nutze ich in fast jedem Track,
und ist mit das einzige Plugin was seit vielen Jahren durchgehend hier im Einsatz ist, nich nur für reine Drumsounds.

Schön auch das man beim Sequencer die Midinoten raus geben kann und damit auch anderes triggern kann.

& Den Bodeshifter hab ich auch, und ist wirklich juut brauchbar.

Praktisch ist auch, dass man das interne Pattern per Drag and Drop als MIDI-File rausziehen kann, geht zumindest in Ableton Live problemlos.

Der DrumComputer hat sich einiges bei µTonic abgeschaut. Für meinen Geschmack will der dann aber doch zu viel auf einaml und macht seinen Klang vor allem über die Master-FX.
 
Ich schau seit gefühlten Jahrzehnten immer wieder bei KVR rein und bin immer wieder kurz davor mir einen µTonic günstig zuzulegen. Aber so günstig, wie ichs gerne hätte, war der bis jetzt noch nicht, oder ich war zu spät. Den Heartbeat hab ich wieder verkauft, wurde nicht warm damit. Nutze in der DAW meist Geist2 und ab und zu Kick2. Was zur Ideengebung und auch für percussive Einlagen gut ist, ist der Air Transfuser 2. Läuft aber nicht immer so stabil und ist auch etwas frickelig zu bedienen.
In Hinblick auf Bedienbarkeit, Sound und Stabilität ist der µtonic wohl empfehlenswert.
 
Nach meinem letzten Kauf einer Drumsoftware , Geist2 , war ich total enttäuscht , Klang , Content - Bedienung und GUI sind Gut ! Fand aber die synthese nicht berrauschend.

Hab jetzt noch die ABL3 geholt und jetzt noch die Frage nach etwas Rolandesken, einen guten Jupiter oder Juno Emu ... ? Roland Cloud kommt nicht in Frage, Arturia ist mir auch nicht nah genug dran. Was meint Ihr ? Vor allem der Sound muss stimmen! weniger der Funktionsumfang. Bei Roland hab ich immer den Eindruck , die überspielen den Sound schon mit Prozessing, aber in den Feinheiten isses dann nicht ao pralle..

TAL Juno klingt hervorragend, genauso wie das SH 101 Teil & macht Spass

Tip

TAL überhaupt in jeder Form hat mir bei n juuten Stammplatz und wird genutzt..

Womöglich gefällt dir ja auch der TAL Mod Synth..der is flexibel und kann auch Juno & Jupi Sound bei Bedarf ;-)

Der schon genannte TAL U-NO LX ist toll, die 101 von TAL ist auch gut.
Probier aber auch mal die Demos von D16 LUSH-101 aus (der kann polyphon)
und AUdiorealism Re-Dominator (Alpha-Juno Emulation)

Ich nutz TAL Juno und 101 zusammen mit nem NI Komplete Kontrol keyboard.
Da die Synths relativ wenig parameter haben lässt sich das erstaunlich gut steuern alles und hat meine begierde nach boutique oder behringer versionen erstmal deutlich geschmälert

MicroTonic ist jetzt in Version 3.3, mit skalierbarer GUI und einer Skriptsprache um eigene GUI-Elemente zu erzeugen:

Nach wie vor ein tolles Plug-in, aber muss es immer noch dieser leidige Aqua-Look mit hellblauen Glossy-Buttons sein?
 
Also irgendwie sieht das Teil gleich moderner aus, auch wenn kaum was an der GUI gemacht wurde.

Ich liebe dieses Plugin sehr. Wirklich genial! Wann baut das endlich jemand in Hardware (nein dieser fummelige Po-32 zählt nicht wirklich)
Ich hab vor über 10 Jahren dafür mal 79€ (oder so ähnlich) bezahlt und bekomme immer noch kostenlose updates. Respekt!
 
Jo, der PO-32 mag fummelig sein, aber ich finde den schon sehr cool - vllt. der ergiebigste der POs …
Aber ja - MicroTonic … habe ich auch vor Ewigkeiten gekauft … läuft einfach ??
 
Der BodeShifter ist auch brauchbar. Und Bitspeak auch Xy , .. Synplant eigentlich auch , okay die GUI ist quorki und der Sound speziell , ich drücke da immer nur Random und passe dann an...
 
Habe mir das MicroTonic-Update nun auch angesehen … starke Sache, gute Erweiterung.
MicroTonic kann schon sehr typisch (und somit auch nervig) klingen. Und sehr spitz … aber da lässt sich vieles tweaken … Und dann Permut8 dahinter und A / B - Vergleich machen … - da geht dann doch mal die Sonne auf, finde ich :0)

:denk: Ähh... ja! Gibt nix schlimmeres wie wenn was an der gewohnten Optik geändert wird.

wenn eine Änderung dann noch ein kleiner sample Player in jeden Slot, den man zur Synth Engine mischen kann.. oder FM damit treiben kann.. wäre doof für übergreifende Presets aber irgendwie trotzdem cool..
 
Vielleicht könnte noch ein Filter im Soundstrang sein und die Distortion könnte man natürlich auch noch aufbohren, wobei man vieles ja auch nachträglich mit einem weiteren Plugin dahinter machen kann.

Happy holidays synth friends!

During the past few years I have been experimenting with machine learning algorithms that search for parameter settings to imitate any sound with any synth. Today I am happy to reveal the first fruit of this labor: Vintage Tonic.

Vintage Tonic is a patch package for Microtonic created from recordings of the following classic drum machines:

  • Maestro Rhythm King (1960)
  • Keio / Korg Minipops 7 (1966)
  • Roland CR-78 CompuRhythm (1978)
  • Korg KR-55 (1979)
  • Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer (1980)
  • Oberheim DMX (1981)
  • Linn Drum (1982)
  • Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer (1984)
  • Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer (1984)
  • Roland TR-505 Rhythm Composer (1986)
Notice that the collection includes both analog and digital drum machines. Naturally, the digital drum machines are much harder to reproduce using Microtonic's synthesizer engine, but even imperfect results are fun, and I find the sounds quite useful.

The older drum machines were mainly preset pattern players. I have painstakingly tried to reproduce not only their sounds but also all of their original patterns.

I hope you will find this collection useful. I believe it shows a new side of Microtonic, and it amazes even me how versatile this old plugin still is.

  • We have updated all our products with bug fixes and some new features.
    Most importantly, all of our products are now VST3 compatible. They look and sound identical in all three formats (VST2, VST3, and AU), and they take up about the same amount of CPU. Feature-wise they are also very similar, and if your DAW lets you choose between formats, we cannot really recommend one over the other.
    In other news, Echobode and Bitspeek now allow MIDI mapping of knobs and support program changes with MIDI notes or MIDI Program Change messages.
    Furthermore, we have increased the graphics resolution of Echobode, Bitspeek, and Permut8 to give you full "retina" quality with 200% zoom.
    Besides this, we have eliminated a few bugs and resolved a bunch of compatibility issues. We recommend everyone to update to the new versions. The only reason you would not want to update is if you are running 32-bit Windows, as we removed support for this now.

    Finally, we have updated Cyclone, our free TX16W emulator, for the first time in almost ten years. It now works on Mac again (and Windows still 😉) in all three supported formats. We have given it high-resolution graphics and a few new features (right-click for a menu).

    Here is some more detailed information on our VST3 ports:
    • In hosts where VST3 replaces VST2 (e.g., Cubase), we have made every possible effort to ensure that everything sounds the same when you load old projects.
    • MIDI out (notes only) should work in Microtonic and Synplant
    • MIDI Program Change messages are supported, but many VST3 hosts do not seem to implement the support.
    • "Learning" of MIDI CC numbers is supported, provided it is implemented by the VST3 host (at the time of this writing, it is not supported in Ableton Live, for example).
    • Because of limitations in VST3, you cannot assign the same MIDI CC to more than one parameter in Microtonic.
    • The following features in Microtonic do not work and are disabled: "MIDI CC operate on selected channel", "MIDI CC generate parameter automation", "Improved scaling of MIDI CC values" and "Knobs and buttons send MIDI CC".
    • You cannot turn the individual pattern steps on and off with MIDI CC in Microtonic.
    • A .vstpreset file is the complete program bank, not a single preset.
