We decided to launch three kinds of BA662 clones. These three types are based on:
- the specs of the original BA662 (A and B) chips.
- the Roland synthesizers and the applications the BA662 was used on.
- the critical tests we did by selecting on offset (Vos).
Types:
1) BA662 super-A clone (top class, ultralow offset)
- Price €45,- ex 21% VAT
Can be used on all synths and functions on which BA662A’s were used but are ideally used for VCF’s (for example on the Jupiter4 or for DIY projects).
From the tests we selected this type because it has the most ideal (ultralow) offset specifications. It had even better offset specs than the original´BA662A´s we tested. So this type is the top BA662 clone and best used for filter purposes or other purposes that ask for a low offset specification.
2) BA662AB clone
- Price: € 35,- ex 21% VAT
Can be used on all synths and functions on which BA662A’s were used. The specs of this clone corresponds with the A-type of the original BA662 chip. From the tests we did the offset was more or less the same as the offset on the original BA662A’s we tested.
3) BA662B clone
- Price: € 25,- ex 21% VAT
Can be used on all synths and functions on which BA662B’s were used. The specs of this clone corresponds with the B-type of the original BA662 chip. From the tests we did the offset was more or less the same as the offset on the original BA662B’s we tested.
