Songs machen… geht zwar nicht immer, aber plötzlich kommt was und Zack ist der Song nach 2 Stunden fertig.

Hatte ich noch nie - eher ist es etwas schwer etwas mal so zusammen zu kriegen, dass alles passt (Platz, Größe, Gewicht)
und im Studio ggf. auch - bei mir ist aber auch nicht das so im Vordergrund. Aber ich habe kürzlich "älteres" Zeug nochmal re-connected wegen einer leider notwendigen Studio-Reorganisation.
Also so gesehen "daddeln" - weil ich bestimmte Sachen prüfen musste - das ist eine Art Shootout der hier und da passiert - damit auch was rausfliegt aber noch viel eher mal was machen, die beiden Genannten haben bestimmte Fähigkeiten die ich brauchte - Übrigens haben beide versagt bei dem was ich suchte - und beim zweiten bemerkte ich aber mit Abstand noch etwas, was recht interessant ist - rein musikalisch-soundtechnisch.

Aufnehmen könnte ich viel - Nachteil ist nur, dass ich das nicht alles mitnehmen kann - würde ich gern so einsetzen können.
Alles inspiriert - ich finde das aktive spielen und rumbasteln macht das schon sehr gut. Muss ja nicht immer neues Zeug sein, nur wenn wieder mal was kaputt geht turned das ein bisschen ab.

Bei mir helfen Samples. Z. B. Sprachsamples. Funktioniert auch, wenn sie am Ende wieder rausfliegen..

Ich stelle immer die Scalenfixierung in Cubase ein und hämmer mit dem Kopf auf das Keyboard. Irgendwann kommt was brauchbares bei rum.

Um es anders zu formulieren: wenn man keine Musi machen muss, kann mein froh sein und in der Zeit was andres tun, zb Musi hören.

Um die Frage etwas ernsthafter zu beanworten, das ist wie die Frage dannach ein Buch zu schreiben, Da gibt es ja auch tausende Möglichkeiten, vom Kochbuch bis zur Haiku-Sammlung oder aber den 1200seitigen Schundroman in Fortsetzung, usw.

Wenn man weder ein Rezept mitzuteilen noch ein Gedicht hat, noch eine Idee für den Schundroman, kann man statt dessen ja auch was anderes tun.

Live Jams motivieren. Stell Dir vor Du hast nächste Woche einen Auftritt. Dein ganzes Equipment wird da hin transportiert und Du sollst dort eine Stunde was spielen. Also brauchst du 3 oder 4 Stücke die du nahtlos aneinander spielen kannst.
Und genau das probierst Du jetzt zuhause und nimmst das auf.
Da entstehen überraschende und inspirierende Sachen welche Du auch weiter verwenden kannst.

Mir hat das oft geholfen und mich auf neue Ideen gebracht

Eine Juliamenge angeschaut, Synthesizer angeschaltet und die Vorlage hörbar gemacht.

ja, kenne ich, allerdings eher vom Patches schrauben. Irgendwann ist einfach die Luft raus, die Ideen bleiben aus, uns jedes neue Patch hört sich nur noch Shice-Einheitsbrei an.
Abhilfe: was ganz anderes machen, am besten irgendetwas völlig Aussichtsloses (Sanskrit lernen, Dudelsack lernen, Integralrechnung verstehen...). Musik einfach liegen lassen.
Nach einigen Tagen/Wochen kommen Ideen und Motivation dann von selbst wieder.

Bei mir ist gerade mal wieder Essig, also bleibt die DAW aus und ich ackere mich durch einige Bücher durch (für mich wichtig: Zeugs, das ich absolut nicht verstehe - das so neu ist, dass ich mich darauf voll konzentrieren muss und im Hirn kein Platz mehr für Musik ist) - Quantenphysik und Geschichte des Mittelalters; wenn nichts mehr hilft, Finnegans Wake.
Das hält jetzt seit knapp einer Woche an, aber es beginnt schon wieder, im Hirn und den Fingern zu zucken

ich glaube wer den sinn darin sieht sich viele geräte ins wohnzimmer zu stellen, hat was falsch verstanden.

den sinn in etwas gibt man sich selber. oder nicht.

Bei Schreibblockaden schreibe ich einfach drauf los ohne innere Zensursula. Dann groovt sich das wieder ein. Beim Musikmachen klappt das auch.

Weiterer Trick: sich denken, dass es eh niemand mitbekommt und das entspannt.

Ich hatte mir mal ein Plugin von SampleScience geholt, die kommen jetzt ab und zu mit Mails um die Ecke, letzens ging es da um die Farge, warum man Muik macht:

Reason #1: I enjoy the process​

Not only this is a valid reason, but it's often necessary to enjoy the creative process in order to achieve other goals. Let's say you want to be famous, if you don't enjoy the creative process, you'll just feel stressed.


It's the same thing if you want to make it a career. If the creative process feels like a burden, you may need to consider another career path or re-invent your creative process.


To make the creative process enjoyable, ask yourself what made you enjoy it in the first place? For me, it has always been about discovery and happy accidents. So my creative process is driven by curiosity.

Reason #2: I want to express myself​

Sometimes, the only way to express something is through music. It could be for legal reasons: you've been abused but can't go to court because of a lack of evidence. In this case, expressing your pain through music can be the only way to cope with your past, and it can also be the only way to survive.


It's also a much more healthy way to deal with this kind of problem than drugs and alcohol. A lot of very dark music has been created to describe the darker side of human nature. And this kind of music reminds those who create it that they are not alone.

Reason #3: Collective joy​

For other musicians, the situation is completely different. They love life, they've been lucky so far and they want to express their joy to the world. Or they chose to focus on the good side of things. Light-hearted and fun party music is created for this very reason.


You might find the creative process hard, but you're motivated by the final product and the experience it will create at parties all around the world.


Your music is the sonic equivalent of a dessert. And it's a perfectly legitimate reason to make music.

Reason #4: Social approbation​

When I was studying marketing a couple of years ago, there was this idea about finding the deep reasons why people buy something. An example of an ad from the 1920s that advertised a book to learn how to play the piano was always shown to illustrate the concept.


In the first version of the ad, you could see a picture of the book and the title said: "Learn to play the piano today in 5 easy steps!". The ad wasn't performing very well.


In the second version of the ad, you could see a guy playing the piano joyfully with his family and the title said: "Impress your friends and family with your piano skills!". Suddenly, the ad performed very well and the books were selling like hot cake!

The bottom line​

While all the reasons are valid and legitimate, I think that enjoying the process is what matters most. Doing something you hate for social approbation would be sad. Trying to express yourself through means you don't like won't last very long.

Tja, und warum mache ich was? Zum Teil Anerkenunng von anderen (Lob & Applaus mag ja jeder), zum Teil, weil ich meine Sachen einfach selber gerne höre, und weil es mir Spass macht, etwas zu erschaffen. Also mehrere der oben genannten Gründe.
