Das kleine 1000€ Synth Setup...

- Stereo track Post processing, compressor / limiter / EQ in cubase

This first video for the 1K setup that i recorded partially with some of the gear that i already have, i want to going forward add a proper stereo mixer, and a looper, and also another mono synth (not sure about this, but leaning toward a KORG monologue). The final total cost, should not be too steep, goal is around the 1K USD range.

Personally this is a great challenge, going back to my own roots.. and i can already on this first attempt hear how i used to make music before i got this big behemoth of a studio. Scaling things down and working with limitations is great fun and helps to boost creativity.

Ein Digitone kostet weniger.

Von 82-90 habe ich rund 15000 DM in ein Atari basiertes MIDI System mit einigen Klangerzeugern, Mixer und FX gesteckt. Bis auf den Matrix 6 und CS15 hätte der Rest (TX81Z, DX9, DX7, S330, HR16, Quadraverb, 1040St etc.) einen Wiederbeschaffungswert von nur rund 700-800€. Also 1000€ für ein HW Setup reist mich jetzt nicht so vom Hocker.

Von dem Output den ich damals als Teenie mit den Kisten hatte kann ich heute (zeitlich) nur träumen...

Für 1000 Euro kann man schon einiges machen, insbesondere wenn einem 16-Step-Sequencer ausreichen. Da ist die Auswahl inzwischen doch ziemlich umfangreich im unteren Preissegment.

Wenn ich jetzt nur 1000 Euro zur Verfügung hätte, um was zu starten: Digitakt + Circuit.

Das ist ein guter Ansatz zurm Limitieren. Weitere Ansätze könnten bspw. das Gesamtgewicht oder die Stellfläche sein. Das Koffer-Setup ist in jeglicher Hinsicht eine praktische Limitierung, sofern es bei einem Koffer bleibt. Wobei ich mir vorstellen könnte, dass man in die zwei Hälften eines Hartschalen-Trollies so einiges unterkriegt.

Mein Koffer-Setup besteht zZt aus Machinedrum, Octatrack, Analog Four, Digitone, Analog Heat und einem Keystep. Das ist für nen Koffer recht schwer, macht aber dafür auch ne Menge Spass!

So etwas ähnliches hatte ich mal, als ich halb im Westen und halb in Berlin war:
Machinedrum, Monomachine, ADX-1, MAM 19-Zoll Mixer, Kaoss-Pad (das kleine rote). Das passte alles mit Kabeln und Netzteilen in einen kleinen Koffer, den ich mal auf dem Sperrmüll gefunden hatte. Allerdings nicht verkabelt, das musste man dann schon tun.
