GENE GX is an all analog, polyphonic synthesizer with a class A audio path.
Inspired by the earliest polysynths of the 1970s, it is multi-timbral and completely touch sensitive.
With 7 tuneable keys on each of its 3 touch sensitive keyboards (6 main keys plus one higher octave key on the right and also a silent filter envelope trigger key on the left), Gene GX can be tuned to a huge number of standard and microtonal scales using the two independent tuning, modulation and pitch bend sections, allowing you to articulate the pitch and timbre of each group as you play.
The unique all-analog oscillator design allows four different waveform harmonics to be controlled and modulated, creating shifting waveshapes and frequency ranges.
All of this is topped off with a lovely class A transistor ladder filter.

- LFO rate and noise mix controls (changes LFO shape from triangle to random to white noise)
- 4x harmonic controls (can produce square, pulse and complex waveforms at different registers, and modulate between settings when controls are at centre position)
- Transistor ladder filter with cutoff and resonance controls
- Dedicated filter envelope generator with Attack and Decay controls (attack continues rising on note-release for reverse-envelope type effects)
- Dedicated VCA envelope generators with Decay and Release controls
- Main keyboard (bottom) triggers envelope generators and voices much like a classic polysynth keyboard
- Harmonic Key Plate (top) allows touch sensitive articulation of harmonics of each oscillator.
- Slow Key Plate (middle) allows slow VCA attack times to be played at the same time as the Harmonic Key Plate and Main Keyboard
- 4x Touch sensitive pitch bend pads (2x for each tuning group)
- Filter envelope trigger pad
- 2.1mm 9v centre negative power input (standard guitar pedal type)
- Can run on an external standard type 9v battery (please ask for a special adaptor cable if required)
