Osc-Sync (Hard-Sync) ala MFB Dominion - was gibt's alles?

Hallo! Mein erster beitrag hier.. Ich würde gerne eine kleine Diskussion über das sogenannte Hard-Sync oder Osc-Sync bei analogen Synths starten. Tut mir Leid, falls das redundant ist, aber ich hab nur wenig dazu gefunden. Allgemein scheint das Thema nicht arg viel diskutiert zu werden im Internet.

Gibts hier Hard Sync Liebhaber?

Ich bin ein riesiger Fan des Sync-Schaltung beim MFB Dominion X, das kreischt so richtig satt und böse. Nun ist es aber so, dass ich den Dominion X für nix anderes benutzt habe und die Bedienung nicht so mag.. --> Verkauft. Vielleicht leiste ich mir irgendwann den Dominion 1, aber jetzt grad ist er etwas zu teuer. Hier ganz kurz am Ende ein Preset mit Hard Sync auf dem Dominion 1:

Ich selber hab einige "Minis", Minibrute, Minitaur (der hat Note Sync, ist aber was anderes), Ms20 Mini, Dark Energy.. die können das aber alle nicht, sofern sie überhaupt mehr als 1 Osc haben. Ich glaube, dass ich mir den Perfourmer Mk2 kaufe, da ich den auch für ganz anderes liebe und evt. eine FreqBox für einen der Minis.

was ich bei synch noch gut finde ist wenn man den gesynchten Oszi vom Pitchtracking abkoppeln kann.

Geht leider oft nicht aber zB beim NL 2.

Aktuell und jeweils fürs Gebotene günstig:
* Roland JX-03, JP-08
* Korg Minilogue

Beim Minilogue ist der VCO Core wohl ein Triangle Core, der Sync dürfte vermutlich eine Phasenumkehr machen. Zumindest erinnert mich die Hardsync des Minilogue sehr an die Sync im CEM3340, wie sie Doepfer im A-111 verwendet. In den ganzen klassischen Synths ala OB-Xa/Prophet/JP6 wurde ja die Saw-like Sync Zusatzschaltung verwendet. Dass der 3340 im Core mit dieser Funktion eigentlich auch eine Thruzero FM ermöglicht hat ja damals niemand so richtig kapiert. Ich denke man darf diesbezüglich auf das neue Highend-VCO von Doepfer gespannt sein.

Ich hab grad realisiert, dass der Dark Energy intern die Möglichkeit bietet, den VCO zu einem Eingangssignal zu syncen, muss man halt leicht modden:

A lot of additional functions are available as internal pin headers (e.g. VCO outputs, linear FM input for VCO, hard SYNC input for VCO, VCF outputs, LFO outputs, LFO connections for optional reset/direction features, ADSR outout, inverter input and output). Important note: warranty is void if a defect caused by wrong wiring of these additional pin headers is discovered !

Hab zum fehlenden VCO2 CV in was in der Anleitung gefunden:

1. SYNC VCO 1→2 ON/OFF switch
This switch turns on/off syncing of VCO 2 with the VCO 1 frequency.
The sync effect is easier to hear when PITCH of VCO 2
is set higher than PITCH of VCO 1.

2. FM VCO 1→2 ON/OFF switch
This switch turns on/off frequency modulation of the VCO 2
waveform with the waveform output of VCO 1.
When this switch is set to ON, the MG/T.EXT level of FREQUENCY
MODULATION is automatically set to the FM INTENSITY
level. In addition, the connection at the TOTAL jack is cut,
and the EG1/EXT level only affects VCO 2; it does not affect
VCO 1.

Syncing the oscillators
Refer to “Normal Setting” and adjust the knobs.
Set the SCALE knob of VCO 1 to 16’, and the SCALE knob of
VCO2 to 4’. Set the SYNC VCO 1 → VCO 2 ON/OFF switch to
ON.
VCO 2 is synchronized with the frequency of VCO 1. Turn the
PITCH knob of VCO 2 to hear how the sound changes.

Using frequency modulation of an oscillator (VCO 2)
Set the FM VCO 1 → VCO 2 ON/OFF switch to ON.
The frequency of VCO 2 is modulated with the frequency of
VCO 1. Adjust the modulation depth with the MG/T.EXT knob of
FREQUENCY MODULATION.
Turn the PITCH knob of VCO 2 to hear how the sound changes.
TIP If the FM VCO 1 → VCO 2 ON/OFF switch is set to ON and the
MG/T.EXT knob of FREQUENCY MODULATION is set to 0,
modulation can be applied to only VCO2 with EG1.

Nicht ganz unschlau gelöst.
Also geht der klassische Sync-Bass, wenn man Sync UND FM einschaltet.
Aber beinflusst dann die FM nicht auch zwangsweise den Sync-Klang?
