iOS 11 kommt heute – todays release of iOS 11 – no more 32bit – not expected: faster / smoother

Update: 11.0.2 – weiteres Update erscheinen, kleinere Bugs beseitigt.

meine Live-Synthesizer funktionieren in iOS 11.

EXPERIENCE SO FAR:

  • surprise – it is faster and smoother – which is absolutely new to iOS first-release-versions – makes me smile! it’s better than it was in 10.33!
  • Files app – to home screen – totally appreciated!
  • 32bit apps are still there „physically“ not just deleted – when you touch them, they open a dialogue – no longer working ..
  • my synth live apps all work fine.
  • HEVC & HEIF instead of H264/JPG Image/Video Format works with A10 processor (iPhone 7 / iPad Pro II Series above 10.5″ / 12.9″) because the are hardware converted.

today iOS 11 will be available – there are a lot of worthy things in it – the control center can be configured and is a lot more useful but also the split screen multi tasking dock and copy/paste of multiple files and data from one app to another in split mode has been improved a lot. But 32Bit-Apps will not work anymore – so there will be a lot of apps to check for you and if you need them or not – find them under settings -> info -> apps – this will list ALL of those apps that won’t work after installing iOS 11. Note, that all Mac & iOS updates will slow down everything – you will have a lot more fun & speed to download it in 2 days.
