New Electribes – 4 more Videos from BPM2014 & Sonicstate (last one being the best detailed so far)
additional to this basic info on the new tribes – it’s now clear, that there are the same filter modes like moog, SCI Prophet 5, Roland (Acid) and others from the King Korg that is in fact a nice synth engine – there’s not much more on what is in and what isn’t – those Pads seem not to be played dynamically? But maybe it’s just these very quick and dirty music fair demos..

seems it is more menu/display action than before, but we never know, roll and some other buttons are gone as well as we did not hear much about the song more, yet – but surely there is one, is it?

they plan to have the first ones in november. „before xmas“. shown- the synth, not the sampler.

Each part can play 4 notes at the same time
synthwise seems not that deep:
For each part you can select a range of sounds from drums to synth oscillators. Each Oscillator has a predefined edit parameter , + pitch and glide. […] you can’t get into the oscillator details like the electribe emx. This one is simplified on that aspect. You have a choice of different synth oscillator combinations (from simple saw, pulse etc… to ring modulator, noise…) You will have less choice of combination than with the emx but never the less this electribe seems very powerfull.

Wie es aussieht, ist definitiv der Filterbereich aus dem King Korg MIT allen Modes übernommen worden, was eine gute Sache ist – Ob auch der komplette Synth oder „nur“ die Filter übernommen sind, ist nicht klar – aber sicher ist, dass die OSC Modelle sicher denen des KingKorg entsprechen, welche wiederum von den alten Electribes stammen, denn dort sind ebenfalls die gleichen 1-OSC pro OSC-Modeelle im Einsatz und können so sehr wahrscheinlich auch implementiert sein – Es ist denkbar, dass man einfach den kompletten Synth implementiert hat, was eigentlich gut ist, aber die Bedienung etwas weniger direkt – ODER aber man hat OSC und Filter im alten Stil eingebaut und alles andere weg gelassen, um die Bedienung direkt und einfach zu halten. Das ist bisher nicht zu erkennen. Die Engine es King Korg (siehe SynMag 37, gibt es noch immer im Shop) ist defintiv nicht übel und daher dürfte das klanglich ein Zugewinn sein.
Aber sicher ist jetzt: polyphon (super!) und nicht limitiert auf 4-stimmig pro Track wie es aussieht (das war ein Gerücht), kein Song Mode (naja), 4 Takte (Rückschritt leider), kein „Roll“ Mode mehr? Aber 16 Effekte, also für jeden Track einer plus ein Master FX – gut!

seems not to have „Roll“ anymore? No Song Mode anymore and 4 bars is now confirmed which is sort of one step back. And is is polyphonic – seems 24 voice even per track so it may not be limited to 4 per track as the rumours said. And it has 16 FX (one per track) which is phantastic plus master FX.
