here is a nice list comparing samplers and their aliasing behaviour.. Sampler anti-aliasing and pitch shifting comparison but be careful: they tested them using a sine wave (no overtones no high harmonics), means: they ignore the overtone content so filtered signals may be not recognized with this test.. so, be aware: more.. spectrum of some check this..

most of you already know the C64 software called prophet64, it’s a set of .. well on a current computer one would call it „emulation“.. it is of course SID based.. a drum machine (909 style) , sequencer and synth plus bass synth (303) is part of the p64 package… link pic speaks for itself.. here’s the TR like ..

tja, da wir als Audio-Sonderlinge™ auf Rechner, die JETZT funktionieren und auf denen alles rund und schnell läuft angewiesen sind: ab April (Apfelgeburtstag – 30 Jahre) hat Apple ihre Tradition fast vollendet: Absägen der kompletten PPC-Chips und damit faktisch unkompatibel zu sich selber in brauchbarer Geschwindigkeit.. da Adobe bekannt gibt, erst ab 2007 Intel-Soft zu bringen und einige Audio-Tools, Hardware und vieles mehr sicher auch noch auf sich warten lässt: Wer noch ein Audio-Taugliches System will, sollte bis dahin eingekauft haben.. ich befürchte, auch die G5 Serie bald schon gestorben…

I am late on this.. Sknote has a strange VST-Host Maschine out, that contains some audio parts of a synth while all LFOs and ENVs are generated in the plugin.. sknote – software sound synthesis soft looks like this: as you can see analog and digital parts mixed… hardware is a 1unit 19″ rack..
