Apple just released Logic Pro X at the Mac Appstore (the one for Software). we all have heard rumours – first the details: bzw: does NOT support 32bit plugins – so all non 32bit plugins will disappear. this is a special project for a 2 Octave Workstation from Miselu, maybe you’ve read about them – they did an android based workstion some time ago it’s a 2 Octave Keyboard made for the iPad and Cover for travel. Thor Polysonic Synthesizer für iPad im iTunes App Store. it’s the same as the Thor Synthesizer in Reason as a single Synth app. It’s about the complexity of a Waldorf Q – 3 Wavetable Oscillators and several „modules“ that allow filtering and other things, – 14€ isn’t cheap but it’s not a bad synth either.

so, nun ist der im SynMag und auf der Messe angekündigte Waldorf Nave. Das ist eine iOs App auf Basis von Wavetables und ist sowohl in seiner Komplexität mit Modmatrix und Wavetable-Synthese als auch sonst ein eigenständiger Synthesizer – natürlich drängt sich der Vergleich mit dem PPG Wavegenerator auf, der nun seinen Erfinder Wolfgang Palm als Konkurrenz hat. Allerdings ist dies nun basiert auf die 3D Darstellung der Waves und es gibt eine Abteilung für Formant-Spectrum Manipulation. Dazu mehr, wenn ich die App selbst mal in Betrieb sehe. Knapp 11€…

a new synth by Ju-X is structurally simple but it’s oscillators are specially designed. you can change the waveform by applying handles or just draw it Gimmick | Ju-X Designs. the idea is simple but may be easier – just twist the waves: Gimmick’s oscillator draws waveform by setting how many times to twist it in a cycle, then divides it by scanning Up and Down direction, finally player can determine positions of each turning points. made for Macs running Snow Leaopard or newer.
