Apple Logic Pro 9 runs on G5/Powermac

Apple is known for their unclear information, the previous info told us it is Intel and Leopard only. In fact it works on a G5, too.Leopard is a must, unfortunately. Wie man weiss ist Apple ja nicht so offen nach außen und man traut ihnen auch radikale Dinge zu, Logic 9 zB wird auf dem G5 Powermac laufen, allerdings auch nur mit Leopardenzwang. Die erste Info dazu ist hier. Besonders schnell wird es nicht sein nach eigenen Angaben, aber es GEHT. Hier unsere Diskussion dazu

Interessant und doch irgendwo ideologisch. So sieht man wieder, dass quasistandards und eingefahrene Standards nicht immer identisch sind. Und natürlich, dass sich technisch gute Sachen nicht durchsetzen (müssen), nur weil es sie gibt und kostenlos sind. Decoding the HTML 5 video codec debate – Ars Technica.
