Elektron Octatrack Mk2 – finally there!

Octatrack Mk2 is here for 1449€ – it will be quite the same as it’s predecessor but it has 9 instead of 4 global buttons on the top left and a new bright display (OLED) to glow in the dark – better buttons and encoders, but no overbridge, still and basically and technically as before – 8 tracks granular sampling / loops and 8 additional MIDI tracks – so it’s better knobs, buttons & encoders – another colour and a bit easier to handle now. user of the old one may not need to sell theirs, but…
when? August 2017

want to compare with the old one? check this: see 3 REC buttons compared to just 2
Midi and Mix are at a different position plus Project, Part, AED/Slice and Arrange are new.
That display appears smaller to me, now. Everything else is sort of „the same“ – so it is a small overhaul but not a redesign internally. hence the missing of overbridge but still accesses 64GB of card memory.
