Roger Linn – Neuer Drum-Pad Controller – Drummachine?

Das Bild stammt von hier Die Workshops sind geplant:  CCRMA (Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics) Summer Workshops, 30th June von 9am bis 4pm PST.  er sagt dazu „It’s intended for: Musicians or composers interested in exploring new possibilities in interactive music in a hands-on and technical way; Anyone looking to gain valuable…

Linnstrument larger now

the  linnstrument.that was posted earlier and here & there has grown sideways – it’s now more board-sized and reacts to pressure, position and of course position.  <— what you can do! Roger Linn stops by DSI for a Linnstrument prototype demoDieses Video auf YouTube ansehen here – controlling Dave Smiths new Rack Prophet 12 – looks a bit smaller than expected, huh? but ok – the Linnstrument has a lot more room .. so it becomes like Soundplane and Continuum Fingerboard but a different approach..

Roger Linn LinnStrument @ Sequencer.de Forum

The Linnstrument ist larger now, a lot larger. Basically it is a Touch-„plate“ which responds to pressure as well. Find some Infos here: rogerlinndesign.com The most new part is that the lettering is gone, so you need to make your own scales which is of course better but maybe harder to learn without anything printed on it? also it reminds more of a guitar (neck) so in the country of guitars it might sell better, then? and of course it is a bit closer to the Haken Continuum (the tour with…

SAMPLES can be…

Roger Linn Design – Tuning & Playing – New Musical Instrument Prototype

Reminds of a C-Thru Controller crossed with Eigenharp and Haken Audio Continuum. Has sonsors for pressure and position. Also quantizes the pitches. YouTube – Roger Linn Design – New Musical Instrument Prototype. looks familiar? all explained here http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/products/linnstrument/index.html looks a lot like the newer kind of (almost expensive) controllers these days. touch keys and ribbons like the eigenharp. but doesn’t mean to be such a bad idea, waiting for new „input devices“. me still waiting for a simple normal keyboard that allows the keys being a controller..?
