Paul Schreiber von SynthTech hat kürzlich folgenden Text auf der Synth-Diy Liste gepostet:
Puh, bin ich ganz froh, kürzlich noch ein paar PCBs geordert zu haben.
a) I'm having a 15% off sale running July 10 to Sept 1 on any order (kits/assembled/accessories).
b) I'm exiting the *kit* business at the end of the year. I will still provide assembled modules, but with a 2 week or less delivery.
c) Future new modules will be based on surface-mount parts (mostly) so that I can offer ship-from-stock delivery times. This is how the MOTM Frac business is executed by Analogue Haven. The new modules are still MOTM-sized (5U tall), uses the same pots and knobs as now. The Frac line will *continue* to grow.
d) there are some modules that after the stock of kits/assembled modules are sold out, will not be restocked. I will have this list on the site and the order page will clearly show which ones (I suppose they are now vintage).
e) The order page (on July 10th not now!) will have the *total remaining stock* for each module. I expect it will take quite some time to kit and ship all the orders (the last time I had a 10% off sale I sold 363 modules). I have contracted out most of the kitting AND assembly work but it's first come/first served.
f) I am excited about the future products: they will (mostly) be based on a common hardware platform I call the AudioEngine. This is a credit-card sized *digital + analog* module that can do amazing things. For example, using only 20% of the 'horespower' a 64-output, (yes, 64-individual outputs) wavetable VCO was coded up in *2 hours*. Oh, and there are 1024 different wavetables I'll have more details after the sale.
These changes are necessary so that R&D can be in the forefront once again instead of me putting 543,128 resistors into little plastic bags.
