Hab mal den Ken Pierce von ASM gefragt wie das sein kann:
The comment is both wrong and not wrong. Yes latency can increase internally. No it’s not due to “complexity of the patch” generally it’s less than 24ms (I forget the exact number off the top of the head I want to say at max in the most extreme scenario maybe 15ms 20ms (don’t quote me on that number) however this would only show itself in rather extreme conditions. It would be very low frequency notes that have a mutant with a ratio applied . The reason being, any mutant with a ratio needs to allow for 1 full wave cycle of the oscillator to process before it can do its manipulation of the signal (because below 1.0 ratio is essentially like time travel backwards so you have to have that wavelength buffer). So yeah a c0 note would with fm would indeed have slightly more latency.
No there is no way around this.
It rarely would be an issue but I can see how for users that use this extreme scenario would have an issue with it. Another note , this process only happens 1 time regardless of the number of mutants so the effect is not compounding.
