MOTM (DIY) ausverkauf

heads up:
MOTM hat gerade einen ausverkauf der letzten platinen, frontplatten und rare parts (für die module oder einfach lose SSM / CEM ICs).

Bist Du sicher, dass es ein Ausverkauf ist? Für mich klingt es eher so, als wolle Paul die Sachen dauerhaft anbieten. Weder auf der HP noch in der entsprech. Message auf der MOTM-Liste war von Winterschlussverkauf o.ä. die Rede. (Ausnahme die CEM ICs natürlich.)

Steht eh auh auf der Motm Homepage. Paul wird wie schon lange angekündigt hauptsächlich fertige Module verkaufen.
Kits gibts keine mehr. PCBs weiterhin, auch einige der schwer erhältlichen Parts (Tempcos), Frontplatten usw.
CEMs macht er auch weiter.

Dass er nicht dauerhaft CEMs anbieten wird, bezog sich darauf, dass Paul - anders als bei seinen PCBs - keinen Einfluss auf die Verfügbarkeit hat, da die Viecher nicht mehr in Prod. sind.

Btw, Was ist eigentlich mit dem TYpen der vor 2 Jahren oder so immer wieder CEMs auf ebay angeboten hatte. Lt. Gerücht hatte der ja nubd, 1 Serie neu auflegen lassen (vei x tsnd Stk kannst sie ja nachproduzieren lassen)

Well if I seriously believed they would ever be in production again I would be doing commercial work with them....
chip manufacturere are not interested in making any less than 10k chips, at least.. and this stuff is so old now that not everyone has even kept the fabrication lines going for the older analog processes... curtis (or rather OnChip as it is now) make specialised communications/modem chips, you can imagine how much they care about synth people compared to the telco giants with $5,000,000 orders.....

Having said this, if anyone can get them back in production, well I'll be a very happy man. But only an idiot would design a commercial product with CEM chips at the moment.... DIY, great, yes, and the MOTM will be a great synth....
