Been to the Incubate Festival in Tilburg, NL. the had a total blast of DIY Synth stuff up in the center of the city in „Pieter Vreedeplein“ – the shopping mall! imagine that – you can buy and solder your synths and modules, hear them and listen to it. UPDATE – Es gibt ein neues Update für Electribes, welche diesen „Hack“ aushebeln. Wer ein neueres OS drauf hat, kann dies hier nicht mehr tun. Es lässt sich einfach nicht einspielen – Korg hat vermutlich bewusst so gemacht, da die Probleme die damit entstehen vielleicht nicht in deren Sinne sind – Es hat offenbar auch Probleme gegeben mit Tribes, die das Umflashen nicht wirklich gut finden. Ein „Jailbreak“ wäre technisch vielleicht möglich – empfehlen kann man aber weder das transformieren noch downgrades. Aber man sei nun informiert. Eine Rückkehr ist…

Ich schrieb hier bereits was Roland jetzt bringt, nämlich nichts weniger als die geistigen Nachfolgerin digitaler Form ohne klangliche Nachteile des Jupiter 8 Analog Synthesizer und Juno 60 Analog Synthesizer in Form dreier neuer Geräte. Man kann das erkennen an der Anzahl der Bedienelemente – etwas weniger für den Juno (Einoszillatorig mit Suboszillator) und für den Jupiter könnte man die Funktionen des Jupiter 6 (Multimodefilter, Crossmod steuerbar durch Hüllkurve und ein paar andre Details) mit integrieren (wenn man schlau war) und natürlich Anschlagdynamik auf der Basis der System 1 Digital Synthesizer Technologie.
