MOTU Mach 5.1 Synth and Sampling

Motu upgraded their Mach5 Sampler plugin. it looks a lot like a competitor to Kontakt now, but it is a full blown synth, not just a player for sampler – it features an FM synth, wavetables and a special IRCAM granular engine like this: a lot of synths now come with different noise types like Massive has or the Casio XWP1/G1 noises it is not just about white and pink – but (possibly sampled) ones: a new reverb, new filter types. multi segment envelopes are also in here as well…

this seems a mixture of the Jupiter 50/80 series and vdrums based on samples and physical modeling – and an iPad app to control surround 5.1 in the „listening field“ between your speakers. since there is not much said about synthesis and structure we’d assume it is the Gaia/Jupiter50/80 new style sound engine which is about layering and quite classic structure ->;; INTEGRA-7: SuperNATURAL Sound Module.UPDATE: Yes – it is in fact a Jupiter 80 Rack – maybe cool for everyone who do not need 73 keys and might want…

Mattomat is a new Arpeggiator that takes advantage of some step-sequencer features (32 step) and change controllers and velocity very musically. just saw there is a new very Microkorg-style version of the ultranova plus or minus X from novation called Mininova – that m-word is big nowadays. 400€. 37 Tasten/Keys Keyboard mit/with standard MIDI I/O 3 x Oszillatoren / Oscillators, 1 x Noise-Generator, 2 x Ringmodulator/s 15 Filter type – Filter Typen Arpeggiator, 33 Types of Patterns – it has 8 step ARPer which is nice, and well – there is these 8 buttons also being used for variation like LFO speed change for 8 different wobbles or vibrato etc. very cool.…
