Controller Synth

Nonlinear Labs – Stephan Schmitt (NI Founder) tours through the new concept

as you might have read and seen – Stephan Schmitt, who founded Native Instruments and is still a holder has been busy building a new interface with hardware – it is (and has) a Fatar keyboard and wooden parts coming from italy put together in a case and consists of buttons that can be relabelled just by simple paper strips (not displays) – so you just hit a button of the desired parameter and edit it – it will be displayed and shown – and can be changed by a large…

instant sample-to-synthesizer Reaktor Ensemble Skanner (free) algorithmicalizes samples

you need to register, but it’s free. this is a synth, that samples a sounds (looks like it is sort of algorithmically?) so you can say it instantly samples any sound and „converts“ it into something playable without being a real audio sample actually. sounds strange? the last time I heard about things like this was, when Technos Acxel Digital Synthesizer  was released – but does not look exactly like it – don’t know what „they“ have used (Stefan Schmitt, the founder of NI programmed it).  – so maybe try it out .. SKANNER  ok,…

G2/Nord Modular vs. NI Reaktor compare/vergleich

german/deutsch: unten.. comparing the G2, Nord modular (G1?) and Native Instruments Reaktor. imo it’s quite a hard thing to really compare part by part.. the main thing is – the philosophy of the „opponents“ the g2 is def’ly made for live performance and stability.. and so is the software.. reaktor is more for the most atomic changes .. but you need to pay the price of more work / time to find a solution in your patch.. why? you have macros that incorporate quite more basic modules than the g2…
