Vince Clarke Video Part 4 – shows the – 4 Voice (1x Multi) Roland Jupiter 4 Analog Synthesizer (1979) and the Roland DR55 (built 1979) – Drummachine/Module The Jp4 was his second synth, the DR55 his first, you hear them on the first Album of Depeche Modes Speak & Spell and Yazoo 8both), the DR55 was used live.. btw – he does NOT show the Jupiter 4s very fast LFO, which is one of the two big cool features of the Jupiter4, the other one is the fast and snappy…

– Vince Clarke – Video Sessions on analogue synths – works on Firefox – a bit hard to get it playing- The ARP was used for Percs, Yazoo and Depeche Mode and he states it was used for R2D2s bleeps also (according to wikipedia). – he’s demo’ing some sounds later (with FM or ringmod). and even later he plays a little tune made with those sounds, typical cute & nice ones – btw – great humour ;)

Electric Independence: Vince Clarke and the Temple of Synth | Motherboard. Lots of Synths in it and it’s really updated. Look! He also prefers fast envelopes as well. Also some talk about synthesized drums and the Rolands via the ARP Sequencer. So, there’s a lot we share ;) Nice synths in here. To me it looks like well selected because I spotted almost no „just wanted to check this thing“-gear here. SEM’s, 700, stuff like that. no Poly800’s and Polysix things. guess, why.
